This gel quickly became my favorite gel! I have a mix of 2b, 2c and 3a curls/waves that require a product with hold to look their best. With my previous gel my curls would look great at first but once I scrunched out the cast I would immediately lose a little shape and definition and by the next day they were pretty flat and had to be fully refreshed. It took some trial and error to figure out how much to use but once I got that down I love it. The trick with this gel is to not use too much. Use less than you think you will need trust me. If you use too much scrunching out the crunch is very difficult and the crunchy cast never fully goes away. It’s expensive but a little goes a long way!

The only issue I have with Innersense styling products is that I never know which one to use because they’re all pretty great. It mostly depends on the length of my hair. I tend to use a combination of two whichever ones I use.
This product I got the hookup from my hair stylist as is usual with Innersense. And it’s really nice. I have to keep my hair short now because as I age it has thinned. And with short hair I need a stronger curl hold. If I don’t have it, I have to refresh the curls with a little damp water + product every 2- 3 days. When my hair was longer I could go for up to a week without refreshing it with water, just a little cream or a tiny bit of oil to smooth. What I like about this product is that it gives me more hold, tighter and better than I Create Hold. The feel is stiffer, but I don’t really mind that. I don’t have to use a lot, in fact, the less the better. It doesn’t pay to use more. It works best if I use a little Quiet Calm Curl Control, or the Inner Peace cream as a leave in underneath it.
I’m rating it four stars only because I haven’t used it for very long. It’s definitely 4.5 at this point.
