  1. JOSHUA S HARRIS

I have wavy frizzy hair. 2b to 2c hair type. I switched to this line and it has made my hair so much curlier. I don’t care for the other styling products but this one is perfect! It really defines my waves, I almost have spirals now!
I use the leave in sweet spirit conditioner first (very little) then put the I create definition foam on top. Be careful, you don’t need much it provides a lot of hold. I’m on day two now and my curls still look bomb. My curls have never looked this great on day two. I’m impressed.

I have below my shoulder 2c hair, I have a lot of finer textured hair. As it has gotten longer I’m trying different products to get better hold. This isn’t it. I use a little more than 1 pump which barely covers my hair. The top and front is stringy greasy looking, flat, zero bounce. The rest is non uniform, stringy and crunchy and blah. It gets caught on everything because of the sticky crunchiness. It is not a great product for me. Sucks to have wasted the money but wanted to give a review for my hair type to help other shoppers.

  3. TLC

    Like how it works

Leaves a little crunch to the hair like a hairspray texture, but it feels light/airy, doesn’t have a strong scent, and definitely gives “mermaid curls,” even without a diffuser

  5. Maria Wozniak

I absolutely LOVE this hair product! I wasn’t so sure after I put it on my hair, but, after it completely dried, I had a lot of volume and curls that have lasted for days! I haven’t had this for many years! Not to mention only having to use one hair product in my hair, rather than several, to try and get this same result. Nothing I have tried has even come close to this. I just purchased two more bottles. So very happy I found this product!

  6. Ana Julia

I really enjoy this product. The scent is light and it does not bother me. A little product goes a long way for my 3a/3b curls. My curls last and look good for 3 days. My curls are defined and frizz free when I use this product.

  7. Miles the Cat

I have Type 3 curls (if you know the curl types) – basically ringlets and/or S shaped curls depending on how much product and effort I put in. I have a tendency towards frizz even on a good wash day. I’ve used Curl Smith, AG Care, TreLuxe, and Curl Keeper products in the past. I’ve been interested in Innersense but never got around to trying them. After my hair dresser used a similar product and I saw some ads on Instagram, I figured I’d give it a whirl.
This stuff is a game changer for me. To me it’s a mouse/gel. It creates great definition and hold. And the least amount of frizz I’ve ever had. A little goes a long way and it’s now replaced TreLuxe’s Hi-Definition Gel in my arsenal. Day 2 and 3 curls don’t usually stretch out like they do with the Hi-Definition. Refreshes are easy, I just use water, I don’t have to add more product if I don’t want to.
There is definitely crunch you will have to scrunch and if you don’t like that then I don’t recommend this product for you. I’ve been so impressed with this product, I just ordered more Innersense products to try.

I have 3A hair that’s a mix of coarse in the back and fine in the front. I’m looking for definition that will last a couple days and doesn’t feel weird like plastic or sticky like glue.

I did achieve strong definition, but at what cost? It felt like I put Elmer’s glue in my hair. It was so stiff and felt horribly dry. Like a straw broom. I couldn’t scrunch it out. My hair made my hands feel sticky if I touched it.

After a day, it started to flake really bad. Everything I moved near had a light dusting of flakes hair product all over it.

I am surprised this stuff sells at all and especially at the price charged for it. I didn’t even take a picture. I washed it out as soon as I had time and will likely trash the rest. Luckily it was the travel size.

Ordered online, arrived quickly, well packed. Works great on curly hair.

    This stuff is tricky!

When they say 1-2 pumps, they’re not kidding (which is crazy when you’re used to using giant handfuls of product). I use one pump of this (seriously!) as a “top coat” over the Innersense “I create lift” volume foam and it really does help to add some serious definition.

If I use MORE than one pump, this stuff gets EXCEPTIONALLY FILMY. Leaves a slightly sticky, slightly greasy, slightly stringy feeling on my hair. Still working out the perfect proportions to get the best results, but it’s promising. Definitely a unique formula, certainly does what it says.
I find it works best if you treat it almost like a curl cream and emulsify it in your hands before lightly scrunching it into wet hair. Might try mixing it with a little additional water for better distribution.

It DOES seem to make hair dry a little more slowly.

It’s GOOD, but it’s UNUSUAL and definitely has a learning curve I wasn’t expecting.

For reference: 3b-ish very fine, fairly thin, chin-length hair.
