I wish I’d have purchased this earlier! My bite guard was cloudy from years of use with only using regular cleaning tablets (Polident or the like) for daily cleaning. When I used this, with a little of the iSonic White cleaning crystals from the sample pack that was provided, all of the cloudiness was removed. I ran it 3 times, with a 10 minute break in between as recommended. I’ve already purchased a separate container of the White cleaning crystals to help maintain my bite guard going forward.

I bought a smaller, no-name, transportable, uv and ultrasonic cleaner for half the price earlier this year.
After using it for a few months, I decided that to determine if these ultrasonic cleaning machines just ‘don’t work like the reviews say they do’, or if it was because I bought the cheaper knock-off with 4+ star unverified reviews.
It was the knock-off, this one really works. The cheap version i used, I felt like *maybe* it did make it easier to brush off some of the crud on my retainer; with the iSonic, it cleans it without requiring ANY brushing.
If you want a ultrasonic cleaner that will actually make your routine with your retainer/invisalign more effortless, go with iSonic.

6/23 I REALLY appreciate legit reviews with pictures and videos so I am making an effort to review more to help others. Lots of folks post about these ultrasonic machines using relatively new Invisalign-type retainers which just isn’t going to compare to a night guard or multiple-year-old retainer. I read hundreds of reviews before deciding on this one and forgoing a used professional dentist-grade machine on eBay. The negative first: I don’t LOVE that I can’t remove the tank to drain and rinse but I won’t ding them for that unless it becomes an issue later. Positives: relatively small realty space, quiet, easy to use, seems to do the job. My guard is almost 3 years old and has darkening stains in the molars especially. I typically brush it with a toothbrush, a scant amount of toothpaste and cool water. I used all the retainer powder provided and did 4 cycles. The first two cycles I used the retainer powder provided. I gave it a 10-15 min break her the instructions to cool down then ran it two more times using half of a retainer brite tablet each time. I’m super impressed. Hard to tell via images but it did VERY well removing the darkened spots almost completely. I’m sure repeated use will get the job done entirely.
