Enlève les reflets fadasses et donne de l’éclat, et apporte même de la douceur. Son odeur est très agréable.
Mes cheveux étant très, très secs et bouclés, je le complète avec un masque ultra nourrissant pour un soin complet.

  2. Rjean

This really is the best shampoo/conditioner combo for blonde or silver hair. Protects from heat and keeps hair from turning yellow.

I have naturally dark brown hair with some auburn highlights. When I started to go gray (about 50% according to my stylist, and mainly on top of my head) I found it tough to keep up with all-over color. I decided to work towards letting my gray come in, in hopes of embracing my natural hair color in a year or so when it all grows out.

A week ago my stylist put highlights and an all-over toner in my hair. As I left the salon it looked lighter all over; some blonde in the sunlight, but subtle. Within 24 hours the blonde was more gold-orange and I looked nothing like I did only a day before.

I sent my stylist a picture and asked: “Is this what it was supposed to do?”

She called me right back and we discussed my options. She suggested a purple shampoo as it would put an ‘ash’ tone over the gold and orange which should provide more gray, white and platinum versus gold and orange. She assured me that the worst that would happen would be violet shades on the lighter hair, but nothing would happen to the darker hair on my head.

    It was worth a shot.

I looked at the options and went for the Joico brand as it’s one I trust and because I could get a set of products for about twenty-two delivered. I didn’t want to invest in the large 30+ ounce sized bottles, not knowing if it would work for me.

The bottle directions indicate the user should alternate between their regular color-safe, moisturizing shampoo and conditioner and these products. Using the Joico purple stuff every 2-3 days.

My stylist said that if you have well water with lots of minerals (specifically iron which brings out gold and red tones), it would be OK to use the purple shampoo every day. It seems like it’s a very individual thing that users will have to test out for themselves.

I decided to shampoo and leave on for 3 minutes, then rinse and use the conditioner for 3 minutes. I have an Echo Dot in my bathroom so Alexa timed it for me.

The shampoo is thin and it seemed to take more than expected to cover my shoulder length hair. It is very dark purple and while it’s unlikely to discolor your skin, you will want to rinse down your tub thoroughly after shampooing to prevent any issues.

Rinsing the shampoo was not as easy as expected. My hair is naturally curly, but generally rinses cleanly without any tangling. This shampoo made my hair tangled and didn’t rinse as cleanly as hoped. It’s scent was pleasant and mild.

Adding the conditioner was a lot easier, and I needed less product to cover all my hair. The color of the conditioner is lavender instead of dark purple and it has a much thicker consistency. It rinsed out of my hair very easily and left my hair soft with some shine which was noticeable during styling. Its scent was also pleasant and mild.

After using these products I do notice less yellow, gold and orange tones in my hair. I will continue to use it daily until I achieve the shade I want and then go to the every other day routine suggested on the bottle.

I am also going to be trying two other brands of professional purple shampoos, in hopes that they give me similar results with less tangling.

For those who are going gray and want to perk up their silver highlights, I’d suggest giving this product a try. It definately takes out the warm, yellow tones in favor of cool ones.

Photographs are the first 3 times of treatment (every 2-3 days), and the last 2 photographs are the day following the 3rd time.

Very first review on Amazon…. worth it. So far I’ve used this three times for 30min-45min each time & my hair has really gone through some change, as you can see in the attached photographs. It started out with an orange hue & is definitely much closer to an ash blonde as of now, and I am sooooo happy with it.

    – Smells great, I’m in love with the smell.
    – The conditioner is good but doesn’t fully compensate for how drying the shampoo is. I need to get a much stronger leave in conditioner to use if not the day of treatment, the day after. Don’t want to break my hair in this process. I would definitely buy a very moisturizing leave in conditioner and use after the included conditioner.
    – I wet my hair, cover it in the shampoo, kill time for 30-45min, then get in the shower and wash it out followed by the conditioner.
    – Might switch to 2x/week instead of 3 to save my hair condition. Especially since I know the product works now 🙂

For the pictures I’d take them after having my hair tied up so that’s why my hair is so crinkly. My hair is naturally wavy.

    Thanks Joico and Amazon!

EDIT: I added a before & after photograph. That was from ONE session. It seems my hair returns to the brassy blonde tone I have in my before picture, so I use Joico as maintenance of the ash silver blonde. The longer you keep it on the more likely it’ll turn out silver/blue. Smells great!

    Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo

  6. maria douglas

Found them to be a bit drying for my hair type- maybe would work better for straight hair thin girlies! Not great on my curly thick hair. It does help keep the brassy tones at bay and my blonde hair still looks as blonde as the day o had it colored

  7. Pogos

Half the price I pay on other sites. Delighted with the service. Joico is fabulous but expensive. I pay €26 for 1 bottle in dublin, got 2 for that price on here.

  8. Andrea Polk

I love this product and have recommended it to friends already.

I have tried many “blueing” shampoos to offset the brassy tones to parts of my gray hair. None of them have worked AT ALL until this one. I was in an office recently and met a woman whose hair was quite purple and I commented on it and she said she uses this shampoo. I didn’t want my hair as purple as hers, but knowing it COULD work like that gave me hope that it would actually cover the yellowing in my own hair. I purchased here and gave it a try. I had to experiment with leaving it on a while the first couple of shampoos, but after that, I only have to use it 1-2 times per week to maintain the color. I don’t think my hair looks purple, but it does have a hint of purple and the yellowing I was trying to get rid of is gone. As some have commented, it is rather drying, so I alternate with other, more hydrating shampoos. But it is a small price to pay to rid myself of the yellow tones. Premature graying runs in my family. I remember my grandmother (who was a heavy smoker) had a lot of yellow tones in her gray hair and I always attributed it to her smoking. Now I think it was more likely naturally that color. Either way (real or imagined), it looks “dirty” to me when it has those yellow tones. I’m re-ordering today!
