This rich body butter is great for cold weather when skin is at its driest due to weather extremes between being outside and then in the dry heated indoor air. My skin feels moisturized and smooth using this after my morning shower. The ingredients include shea butter, safflower seed oil, vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin E acetate, aloe barbadensis leaf extract, chamomilla recutita flower extract, cucumber fruit extract, and apricot kernal oil among the natural ingredients. There are also other ingredients I assume are for product stability so I don’t want to imply that it’s natural ingredients only. I do like when I see a lot of wholesome ingredients like this. For freshness, this body butter came with a clear plastic wrapper on the outside that had to be removed. Inside the lid, there is a white thin cover as well. I don’t like the smell of shea butter myself, but I’ll tolerate it for its wonderful skin moisturizing properties. This smells like shea butter to me although it is lightly scented. The scent is clean smelling which offsets the shea butter smell although it does not overpower it. The body butter is so rich that I don’t have to use much for each body area. I dab a bit for one arm and then the next arm. I also dab a bit for each leg and then a bit more for each side of the trunk of my body. I don’t have to use as much of it as compared with the body lotions I’ve been using. Using this feels like a luxury, like a home spa treatment.
Earth Warrior –
The scent smells so good, but a little strong. It’s a very strong floral scent, reminds me of jasmine. The ingredients are overall very good quality.
Lots of natural ingredients, but I wish it didnt have that “fragrance” I don’t think it needs it and I think that is what is making it very strong and perfumey.
It moisturizes very well- its thick but absorbs well and leaves skin soft and hydrated with no greasiness.
Big pluses in my book that the product is paraben, sulfate, phthalate, phosphate, cruelty, & silicone free. It’s also vegan, made in the USA, and packaging is recyclable.
Catfish –
I had smelled Kai perfume before, but something about having this much scent in a jar is so overwhelming to me. It is cloyingly sweet, and I just can’t bear to use this lotion. Granted, I’m sensitive to scents, but wow…. it’s powerful stuff. I’ll pass it on to someone else.

I use this hand cream all the time. Although it’s a bit pricey, it really works, and the smell is divine. I’ve also given it as a gift several times, and it’s always a hit!

I’m falling in love with this brand’s body butter and I’ve noticed the price is about the same elsewhere. With this body butter it goes on so smooth and feels so good on the skin and has a very pretty floral scent. If I have time in the morning after a shower I like to put it on then it just smooths into your skin so nicely and I do put this on late in the evening. I’m a older women and this helps soo much with skin that tends to be a little dry especially in the winter months.

A product of the USA, this luxurious body butter has a shea butter base and is thick and rich. It takes a couple of minutes for the cream to be fully absorbed. It does a good job temporarily plumping and hydrating my skin. The product contains no parabens, phthalates or sulfates. It does contain safflower seed oil and other botanicals like aloe vera but if possessing sensitivities or concerns, read the full ingredient listing.
The cream also has the signature Kai fragrance that is a complex blend using rose absolute as its base. I am normally not a big fan of florals but this scent is quite pleasant. It starts out strong but dissipates into a subtle fragrance within ten minutes. The jar arrives with a cellophane seal around the lid and jar which ensures it is fresh and untouched. A little of the cream goes a long way. An indulgent bit of pampering.
DelusionalAngel –
I like that it’s vegan. It’s a nice consistency for a body butter — not so light that it feels like it’s mostly air and not so thick that it’s hard to spread. It does seem to give the kind of moisturizing effect I’d expect of a decent body butter.
That said, my skin didn’t like it as I started itching like crazy after using it and I got a migraine almost as soon as I smelled it. I didn’t see a full ingredient list when I ordered it so I missed the whole signature perfume aspect and had never used this brand before. I think that’s the culprit. Me and many perfumes don’t mix.
Your mileage will obviously vary. But if you have super sensitive skin, especially if you’re sensitive to perfumes, this may not be the body butter for you. I’ve used several different brands scented and un. This is the only one that has made me miserable.
