I’ve got other Kent products and really enjoy the quality, particularly the more stiff bristled brushes. I have a pretty heavy beard and mustache. The bristles on this particular piece are way too soft to even get through my mustache to contact skin, and it can’t get through the rest at all. If your facial hair is really short this may be a good choice, but I have to recommend you keep shopping if you have a beard longer than a half inch.

  2. Todd A. Jacobs

There’s a lot to love about this brush, but a few cons as well. It’s a high quality brush with some very unique design elements, but those design elements will be the reason you either love or hate this brush. Overall, I recommend it if you can work with its design intent, rather than expecting it to be something it’s not.

The pistol-grip handle fits the hand very ergonomically for right-handed people. (NOTE: Kent also makes a left-handed version as well, although no one on Amazon seems to sell it.) However, while the handle has been sanded, it’s been left as a natural wood grip rather than polished smooth or coated in varnish. This improves grip, but (to me) feels a bit unfinished somehow.

The specially-angled brush head is amazing, as long as you work it it instead of against it. In practice, this means using the right-handed brush only with your right hand, not attempting upward strokes with your neck beard, and mostly focusing on downstrokes rather than left or right sidestrokes on your mustache. Doing anything else requires a very awkward grip on the specially-designed handle, and flipping the brush head in odd ways to ensure strokes start with the short bristles.

The angled head and varied-length tufts ensure even coverage through the beard, including underneath to the skin with the long bristles, and along the tops of the whiskers with the shorter tufts. The white boar bristles are stiff enough for thorough penetration, but soft enough not to irritate sensitive skin (even with a brand new brush) as long as you aren’t overly vigorous about it.

Because these brushes are imported from the UK, most sellers on Amazon are charging 50-100% more than the retail cost of the brushes direct from the manufacturer. That makes them pricier than they should be, but still worth the money if the unique aspects of this brush work for your beard type and grooming routine.

Overall, I like this brush as a detangling and smoothing brush despite its various drawbacks. This model won’t work for everyone, though. This is especially true is using the right-handed model for lefties, or people with whorls or grains in their beard that don’t fit the use case of the brush head design. Your mileage will therefore vary tremendously.

At first I was a little confused by the design but once I read the instructions on the box and was clear on how to hold it it made perfect sense, it kinda forces you to hold it the most effective way.
My beard is pretty thick and this really feels like it’s getting in there and doing it’s job. Very satisfying to use and I look splendidly groomed after ^-^

I have a ton of Kent combs. So I thought I’d spend the money on a nice brush from the makers of my favorite comb maker. WELL worth the money.. The bristles are softer than I thought they would be and very tightly compacted together but, it works well as a finish brush. I use a comb after I use my beard oil…Then I use a coarse brush to start my styling … then I use this brush to finish off with.. It gets any fly away hairs and puts them in their place. Also the brush looks awesome (with awesome packaging). Very ergonomical to hold in your hand and use.

On the downside.. (maybe) Not really a downside for me, but you may not like it.. The wood of this brush is 100% natural with no stain or sealer of any kind.. So oils from your hands WILL kinda stain the handle.. I like how it looks as it ages. So I don’t think it a downside. If you don’t like this idea you could seal it I’m sure. Or at least DO NOT rub in beard oil then use this brush, wash your hands first.

Great brush. I’ve had sensitive skin and have started growing in a beard for the first time ever. This brush is high quality. Soft on the face. And well made. Quality handle and comfortable. Not sure why others found this brush awkward pretty simple to use, just read the box. Highly recommend

  6. Hiram P.

At the beginning I was hesitatant because of the steep price. The bristles were soft compare to other brushes I own. But I must say that the feel is unique. Superb quality brush.

Si vas a comprar un cepillo para tu barba esta es la opción.

  8. Mr. Len

Having tried numerous beard brushes for my beard, this product is the BEST for keeping my beard well-tamed. The unique design of the brush makes it the PERFECT BEARD BRUSH on the market. Although a little pricy, it is worth it. This brush has been manufactured in England for almost 100 years! I guarantee you will enjoy this brush each and every time you use it. And the women will appreciate your enhanced look!!!!!

  9. Ivan Vera

Me gustó mucho, buenos acabados, un agarre firme, suave con la piel.
( esperaba que fuera un poco más grande )
No lo recomiendo para llevar de viaje

It works very well and one can easily feel the quality. Kent products can be trusted, they are different from the rest.

Es un pequeño cepillo de una calidad muy buena. Lo llevo utilizando bastantes meses y muy contento con ello. Es pequeño y su ergonomía lo hace muy manejable y fácil de usar.
