This Evereden Kids Happy Morning DUO includes the Cloud Face Wash (Tropical Sorbet) and an SPF 20 Mineral Face Cream. These come in cute containers and are formulated for kids over 3, but are “suitable for the whole family.” I have sensitive skin and sometimes use skincare made for kids as it can be more gentle and have less risky chemicals than adult skincare (though not always).
The cleanser has what I’d describe as a fruity coconut scent from added fragrance, which is a common irritant. The scent is strong enough to notice, but not overpowering. I generally dislike coconut fragrance, but this doesn’t smell unpleasant to me and I can see that some would like it. I used the cleanser and my skin felt refreshed and clean after.
I didn’t notice a reaction to the wash, so I followed it with the SPF Face Cream. The cream is on the thick side, which I normally like. But my skin doesn’t feel like it absorbs it fully, and the cream has a somewhat occlusive or heavy feel on my skin like a semi-barrier cream. I don’t care for how it felt on my face, but it seems fine for the back of my hands and arms and I’ll use it that way.
I like that the cream is fragrance free and uses a mineral (zinc oxide) rather than chemical sunscreen. Also, I didn’t notice a white cast though I do keep my skin really pale as I always wear sunscreen. However, about 20 minutes after applying the cream, my skin became itchy and warm. It felt like it was getting worse, so I washed my face with a gentle, fragrance free cleanser and applied calming products. My skin calmed down fairly quickly.
I’ll keep using the cream on my body (it’s less sensitive than my face) but won’t apply either product to my face again. I should have only tested one new product at a time but thought I was okay as the wash is a rinse off product and I didn’t notice any initial reaction. The only common irritant I see listed is the fragrance in the wash that the company indicates is natural, but I can’t say if it’s the cause of my reaction or the cream (or both), especially since the cream didn’t feel comfortable on my face.
While not the norm, my skin does react sometimes even more to natural than chemical fragrance (maybe due to pollen allergies). This set seems nice if not allergic to it, but I’d be hesitant to use it if prone to contact allergies or sensitivities (and would definitely patch test). I can’t say the fragrance is my issue but it is a known irritant, so I’m taking off 2 stars for fragrance in a kids wash (3 stars). I’m taking off 1 star from the cream (4 stars) as I don’t care for the heavy feel and it may be what irritated my face even though I don’t see any obvious irritant. 3.5 stars. Made in USA.

I opened the box and unlocked the bottle per instructions. I pushed down on the pump and the mechanism broke and never came back up. I’m not the hulk so I’ll just say buyer beware.
