I really love this Kind Science Ellen DeGeneres 2 Piece Skin Care Set I use it twice a day in the morning and in the evening. Leaves my skin feeling so smooth and my skin does will with it being that I have very sensitive skin and sometimes react to certain products. My only complaint is this is to expensive for the sizes you get. Maybe if they were bigger it might be worth it. I do recommend it if you can afford it at least try it so you can judge it on your own. This is good quality cruelty free skin care which is a plus.

The first product in the set is the Micro Exfoliant, which is designed to gently remove dead skin cells and impurities from the skin’s surface. I was initially hesitant to try this product, as many exfoliants I have used in the past have left my skin feeling dry and irritated. However, the Kind Science Micro Exfoliant is different. With its fine granules and soothing ingredients, it exfoliates my skin without causing any discomfort or redness. After just a few uses, I noticed a significant improvement in the texture and appearance of my skin.

The second product in the set is the Skin Care Cream, which is meant to hydrate and nourish the skin after exfoliation. This cream is incredibly lightweight and absorbs quickly, leaving my skin feeling soft and smooth. I have noticed that my skin looks more radiant and youthful since incorporating this cream into my skincare routine.

Who knew that Ellen DeGeneres had plans to go into skincare. Color me surprised that these Kind Science products are actually super nice and effective – I am impressed. The exfoliant is one that you are supposed to use on a clean face, but rinse after 3 minutes, so I like to keep it in the shower and let it sit on my face while I am washing my hair. The firming serum absorbs in well, so I can use it morning & night without worry about it making my face too sticky for make-up. In all, I consider these to be quality products.

Very moisturizing and easy to apply. No skin irritation. Great value.

This Kind Science two-piece skincare set works well. I like the firming serum and it leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth. I apply this in the morning and at night before bed on clean skin. It takes about four pumps of this serum for me to feel that I’ve applied enough to my face and neck. The micro exfoliant also works well. When I first used it, I left it on about three minutes as directed. My skin started to feel very itchy. I worried that it would irritate my sensitive skin, but when I rinsed it off my skin felt refreshed and clean. I needed to use about one and a half times the amount of cleanser I’d normally use to wash my face. I really like these products but with the serum at 1 ounce and the micro exfoliant wash at 2 ounces they won’t last long.

  6. Friendly Feedback

I really like this set. The exfoliant is very effective at removing dry skin and blackheads without being overly harsh. I have rosacea, and pretty sensitive skin in general, and so I am usually wary of exfoliants, but this one didn’t irritate my skin at all. It was actually moisturizing. I think it’s in the application, there are granules but I didn’t have to really rub them in to get it to work. I just let it sit on my face like a mask for a few minutes, and then removed it with a damp wash cloth. It was very effective. I would feel comfortable using this every week.

The serum is interesting in that it’s not really the consistency of a serum, more like a very light, liquidy, cream. But it does feel great on my face and soaks in very well. I’ll have to continue to use it to see how it affects my face over time.

  7. Customer Review

The exfoliating scrub left my face feeling smooth, moreso than any other cleanser I’ve ever used, with zero irritation. The serum absorbs well without leaving any sticky residue. I haven’t been using it long enough to see any long term results, but I’m loving it so far. The packaging is beautiful, I love the muted turquoise and wood grain! And can I just say thank you for making the directions in large enough print to see without my glasses? Shouldn’t all skin care for “aging skin” do this? High quality, but definitely pricey.

I think these are both great products, but I have two issues with the online listing posted on Amazon. The first is that one of the photos says this is an “alternative to retinol,” yet the listing states the firming serum contains Retinol. For what it’s worth, I don’t believe the serum has Retinol in it (see ingredient list in photos). It has Bakuchiol, which is often considered a gentler alternative to Retinol that might be easier on sensitive skin. I believe this error is just sloppy editing on behalf of the marketing team.

The second issue is that the listing says this product is fragrance free in one spot, but also says it is “aloe scented.” Both bottles are marked as “fragrance free”, as well. I think what was intended is that there are no ADDED fragrances, but to me, that isn’t the same as saying fragrance free. I can be sensitive to fragrance, whether natural or not, and I like to know if something is going to have a scent. While there is a scent, I find it to be mild and unoffensive. However, I don’t appreciate the confusing marketing. It’s almost like this was intending to mislead people into believing these are products without any scent.

    PROS:
    Lovely bottle designs
Exfoliant can also be used as a mask
    Smoothing
    Hydrating
    Evens skin tone
    Reduces fine lines/wrinkles
    Leaping Bunny Certified – Cruelty-free
    Sulfate-free
    Gluten-free
    Paraben-free

    CONS:
Naturally scented (aloe) – It was fine for me, but some may prefer unscented
    Price

This set of 2 products is expensive to me, but it’s even more expensive buying these products individually online! I was shocked when I saw the prices, so buying these as a set is more affordable. I think these are both great products, I enjoyed using them, and I love that they are cruelty-free, which is a must for me. However, will I be able to afford these on a regular basis? Probably not, but I will enjoy them while I can! I’m taking off one star for the higher price.
