  1. Amazon Customer

Seems I got a good batch because it did not smell like cigarettes or anything else bad. Does have a certain scent that stays on you for a bit but I wouldn’t say it’s bad. Does a great job at cleaning off resin and moisturizing. I’d say I wouldn’t use it as an everyday soap bar but for certain jobs for sure.

I had someone recommend castile soap to help with sweaty hands. While the brand she was using seemed to do the trick (clean my hands, leaving no residue) when I looked it up the ingredients were heavy on coconut oil. So looking further, I found that originally castile soap was olive oil soap. I ordered this and have been very happy with it. It keeps my hands dry without drying them out. Smells natural. Lasts a long time. Good purchase.

I have been using this soap for many years to avoid normal commercial soaps I don’t trust. It’s definitely got good moisturizing characteristics because my skin is as soft as a baby’s bottom, and I’m almost 50. You can feel it when you get out of the shower. Highly recommend!

This Kiss My Face Olive Oil Soap arrived brown colored with a bad smell. The only reason I gave 3 stars is because Amazon refunded it—thank you. I just reordered Opa’s Soap which is much pricier but it’s 100% pure olive oil soap and I still have a little piece that will last until the new one arrives. I received the Opa’s soap bar in November 2023—9 months!
When I received it, I cut the bar in half and kept the 2nd half in the fridge. It lasts very long if you take care of it. (I learned this with the old and good KISS My Face soaps) I keep the soap on a spiked plastic soap holder (?) that sits in a soap dish so it never stays wet and only touches the spikes. Opa’s soap was $11 last time and it’s $13 this time but after receiving this awful version of Kiss My Face, I know it’s a worthwhile investment for my sensitive skin.
The reason I purchased the Kiss My Face a few days ago, was because Opa’s soap had gotten expensive and to my delight I saw KMF soap had returned. When I tried to purchase KMF soap last year, the prices had skyrocketed leading me to believe they weren’t making them anymore and what was available were random remnants. So it’s back and it’s cheap but it’s very bad.

Great for allergies and sensitive skin

  6. Avid reader

I love this soap, a new product for me. It actually makes washing enjoyable. Feels soft, gentle, natural, healthy, and smooth. Makes me feel super clean without all kinds of chemicals and perfumey smell. the bar is easy to handle and good size, appealing to use, even the dark green color. I will buy this again and recommend to others especially with sensitive skin.

  7. Cindy

Simple ingredients, good size and very moisturizing but individual bars were not wrapped, all three just tossed in a cardboard box

  8. Random Amazon Buyer

I’ve heard of the brand so figured I’d give it a try. I am in no way a soap purist but, well, maybe now I realize I am.

FYI seller made it non-returnable. And Amazon wouldn’t give me a stupid $6 credit.

It’s “OLIVE OIL” soap, and it is green as advertised.
Size as advertised. 2 of the 3 bars were broken. (I thought, so what, its soap. Still.)

BUT the other ingredients come before the *olive oil* (based on product ingredients list).
WEIRDEST white film on certain parts of the soap…don’t have a clue what it is. Not powder, almost like a mold, but not. If anything the weird white powder splotches tell me the product was stored improperly, and for quite a while. Even the packaging was not up to snuff.

Soap bar (dry, I didn’t wet it) is very dry (in texture…its strange to hold a bar of dry-feeling soap).

Smells like a dirty, slightly polluted beach. Is this because salt is an ingredient? Or because they use less than quality olive oil? Or? (Salt is actually a common, perfectly acceptable ingredient for soap, homemade or not, but based on the salty-dirty-beach smell, there must be a bunch of salt in it, so I asked myself rhetorically – how can that possibly be moisturizing?)

Nowhere near a decent olive oil soap. (I purchased this brand only because several of the REAL olive oil soaps I usually buy on Amazon, pure with laurel/bay leaf oil, made outside of the U.S., were unavailable.)
Tip: if you want the real deal olive oil soap it is worth spending a little extra on the middle eastern/greek region soaps as they are hand made and cut, and one bar lasts one person’s body a good 3 months because they’re incredibly dense. Sure, two bars may be $12, but yeah that will last you 4-6 months. And man, those soaps are TO DIE FOR! And those soaps are SO dense that there is no way they could break. (Okay and the video they use for the product – a blender with olives, salt and water… Uh…. nope, because if you put those three ingredients in to a form and expected them to dry in to a nice homemade soap, you’d fail. Well, I’m guessing here, but it’s misleading. I get the point of the video, cool, but no.)

Stars: I chose one star overall, because it arrived on time and had it been from the store it would likely have been in better condition.

I chose 1 for sensitive skin and 1 for moisturizing because I can’t write N/A as I won’t try the soap – I don’t want to use salt to clean my skin, and the white powder spots are weird, and – I just know that there is NO WAY I would give this to a guest who has sensitive skin or needs moisture.

    Bleagh.

  9. Roem

    Great lather and long lasting

  10. Anne L

I like the soap, but the scent could be better. As it is an olive-oil-soap my skin is well taken care of and loves it.

  11. Robyn Shipley-Mahnke

I love this soap! Reasonably priced compared to the few others I can use with my allergies. The bars have a strong smell, but I do not smell like it!

  12. Marketing mama

I love this soap and use it daily. It does not dry out my skin and does not irritate it either. It does not have any perfume which is a good thing, but the resulting scent is just meh, not strong or lingering but not a pretty scent either.

  13. Pauline Chiam

I hardly write review. I’m making effort to provide feedback that this soap has a very strong pungent smell making it really difficult to use.
