This set is nice and comfortable! Third time lucky after trying other products. First set was thin and not terribly comfortable, second set from a well know chemist retailer the foam was too inflexible and was very uncomfortable to sleep on! This set absolutely perfect! Enough substance to hold and enough softness for a comfy sleep. As with any new technique, it took a little getting used to in order to get the right amount of curl you want. I have a lot of hair, relatively long and quite wavy/unruly. I find smaller sections work best and when wrapping the individual sections, about three quarters through, take the next section so it catches the previous one. This helps hold each section in place. I secure at the back with another scrunchie and fold up the remaining foam ends for a really comfortable fit for sleeping on. Saves such a lot of time in the morning. I just remove, brush through with a wide toothed brush and then it holds all day. All in all a great product!

If you’re thinking about buying this… Pull the trigger! I originally bought a cheaper one from urban planet, it was 7.99 and 50% off. Unsuccessfully used it a couple times and then I ended up getting the hang of it. The curls are lovely BUT I couldn’t get over how uncomfortable it was. It was hard foam and it pulled on my hair because it wasn’t super flexible. I heard about higher quality brands that offered a softer rod—but they were $100+. I was bummed. I put out an insta story asking for recommendations and a link to this product was sent my way. It arrived quickly as usual and I just put it on… WOW is all I have to say. Super soft. I’m laying my head on my pillow at this current moment and not only is it comfortable as heck, it’s even more comfortable than if I wasn’t wearing it (does that make sense? lol) I’m super excited to see how the curls turn out. I think they will be tighter than the other rod I have—due to the squishy-ness. I put a tight scarf on and then my bonnet to protect the style. I will update in 12 hours on the results with a picture if I remember. Don’t sleep on the product… Sleep in it! (Haha get it)

Also I got the Malibu Barbie one and it’s actually adorable. Obsessed with this purchase!

Would love to see them come out with a wider rod for looser curls! Maybe they already offer such a product? I’ll do some digging!

    Happy no heat curling, girls!

The first night it did well I thought, (photo #1) I only had to touch up a few spots with my curler and then I lightly sprayed a little hairspray.

Last night though, so night #2, it curled way more! I’m guessing it was because it had a smudge of hairspray left in it, but dang I am so impressed! (Photo #2)

    Update****
Day 3 and the curls just keep getting better! I added a third photo for reference. Tomorrow is wash day for my hair, and I did the heatless curler again last night, and my hair looks amazing! On day 1 I did a smudge of hairspray but other than that all I’ve done is a little castor oil on my ends and my hair seriously looks like I curled it with my curling iron (hair straightener actually lol but whatever). I can’t recommend this enough!

Photos from the first try of this product!
I did watch a lot of tutorials before and tried another type of heatless curlers, but other one didn’t work for me at all. This worked perfectly! I I dried my hair 95% with a hair dryer and then wore this product for about 2-3 hours while doing house things around the house. I attached both pictures – right after taking it off and after brushing through. I didn’t put any hair products accept hair oil after. It did last for the rest of the day without any additional products. Next time will try it with! I’m happy with my purchase!

I have only used it once since I bought it. I went on a “heatless” mission for styling my hair a few months ago and came across this set. I didn’t hate it, but honestly a silk scarf did the trick better for me, and was WAY less bulky. I recommend getting a hair mister and trying a scarf a few times before getting this. The waves came out almost immediately after I took them out (I dampened my hair and used as instructed). Plus, it was kinda bulky and didnt feel snug when I was wearing it. I honestly use the silk scrunchies it came with more than the heatless curler itself. I REALLY wanted to love it, but unfortunately just didn’t work out for me. I have wavy, long hair as a reference.

The Kitsch Satin Heatless Curling Set is designed for those seeking a heat-free method to achieve curls overnight. Here’s an overview of its features, benefits, and potential drawbacks based on user feedback:

    Features:

    • Heatless Curling: The primary benefit is its ability to curl your hair without damaging it with heat tools. It is made to be used while you sleep, saving time and minimizing heat exposure.
    • Satin Material: The satin fabric is gentle on the hair, reducing friction and frizz, which is especially useful for preventing breakage and maintaining smooth curls.
    • Includes Curling Rod & Scrunchies: The set typically comes with a long satin rod and matching satin scrunchies to secure the ends of your hair after wrapping them around the rod.
    • Comfort: Designed to be worn overnight, the satin material is soft against the scalp and comfortable while sleeping.

    Benefits:

    • Prevents Heat Damage: Since it is heatless, it protects hair from the typical damage caused by heated styling tools like curling irons or straighteners.
    • Convenient: You can achieve curls overnight with minimal effort, making it ideal for busy mornings.
    • Frizz Control: The satin helps reduce frizz, leading to smoother, shinier curls.
    • Reusable: Eco-friendly since it’s a one-time purchase you can reuse as often as needed.

    Drawbacks:

    • Results May Vary: Different hair textures and lengths may see varied results. Those with thicker hair may need more product or practice to get consistent curls.
    • Learning Curve: Some users report that it takes time to master the technique to ensure even curls without tangling or awkward positioning.
    • Sleeping Comfort: While soft, it may still take getting used to sleeping with the rod in place, and some users may find it slightly uncomfortable.

    Overall Verdict:

The Kitsch Satin Heatless Curling Set is an affordable, gentle way to achieve curls without heat damage. It works particularly well for those with fine to medium hair, though it may require some trial and error to perfect the technique. It’s a solid option if you’re looking to maintain hair health while styling overnight.

I’m 66 yrs old & have always had a hard time curling my hair. It either doesn’t curl, the curls fall out, or it simply takes too long to curl it when I need to be somewhere. I have a lot of hair & it’s long. I tried curling it w/ one of these. The front was fairly curly but the back was just ok. So I bought another & now my hair looks evenly curled. I put Kenra styling gel 17 in my wet hair & blow dry just my roots on a lg round brush where my part’s going to be. I leave my hair damp & make a zig zag part down the center back. My hair had a noticeable part at the top when dry when I made a straight part down the back. Making a zig zag part before curling it gave me a better result. It doesn’t have to be a perfect zig zag. I use clips to keep the sections separate. Then I separate the sides at the front of my ears. I again use clips to keep the sections separate. Then I put a Kitsch on top towards the back of my hair & start wrapping. I run a comb through occasionally to keep my hair smooth & lightly spray the ends w/ water if they get dry before I finish wrapping them. Once all my hair is wrapped, I will put a diffuser on my blow dryer & dry the root area just because my hair is so thick. It sounds like a lot. But I had it down the 2nd time I curled my hair. These are incredible! I sleep on my back. So I don’t find them to be uncomfortable at all, even w/ 2 in my hair. In the morning , I fluff my hair & use a light hairspray. It takes 2 minutes to do my hair & there’s no risk of burning myself. My curls loosen a bit; but, last for days. I have tried every hot tool on the market & never had the success these give me. Watch several YouTube videos before trying it yourself.
