I had buzzed my hair a couple of months ago, and now that it’s a couple inches I decided I wanted to go blonde/platinum while it’s short and much easier to achieve with virgin hair before growing it out, especially because my natural hair is super thick (I typically use BlondeMe or Wella lightener but I didn’t want to spend upwards of $40 when my hair is currently super short). My natural hair is a dark brown with reddish undertones, I left this on for an hour and it pulled my hair easily from a level 2 or 3 to a level 8 (an orangey blonde); I only used about half of the tray, so I went back in with the rest to lighten it further to a pale banana color before I toned it out. For less than $10, no nasty strong smell or discomfort like regular lightener, this was so worth it. The only thing I’d recommend is to buy a toner- the toning mask provided smelled really good but didn’t make even a slight difference even on my already light yellow hair and was very thin and hardly pigmented; fortunately I already had some Wella T16 Polar Ice toner on hand and Fanola blue/purple shampoos from previous blonde adventures, so I was still able to achieve a cool/beige blonde from dark brown, but the lightener REALLY surprised me for the price, I’ll be purchasing again for root touch ups and I definitely recommend! 💕

This product was purchased as an alternative to harsh bleach to help me strip my sun blanched colour. I am a natural blonde but have had Navy Blue hair for years. After a recent holiday, the colour was beyond faded due to sun and chlorine from the pool. As I’m getting older, the grey is beginning to pop through too. So I decided to go back to basics and am opting (eventually) for pastels.
In the meantime, I had to sort out my messy mop without resorting to harsh chemical bleaching so figured I’d give this a try.
Holy smoke…it’s excellent! Super easy to use and after one application the blue was virtually gone. I have purchased another kit to get rid of some of the residual blue but I am so impressed with how it currently looks and, more importantly, feels. Yes my colour is slightly patchy but that’s more my issue with missing a chunk of colour qt the back of my head (OOOOPS!)!
The real upside is the condition of my hair…it’s very soft. None of that dry feeling which harsher dyes give you. It’s like it’s just normal, really decent condition and still shiny. If you are stripping a colour or want to give blonde a whirl I would thoroughly recommend this product. Well done for someone finally creating a product which actually gives results without trashing the hair.

I am so impressed with this!!! I usually in the past had to use bleach powder and developing crème to get the same result! But this doesn’t smell like bleach and doesn’t hurt! I ordered Thai from Amazon here in Aus and it was so worth the wait!!! I’m absolutely thrilled Thankyou, 5 out of 5 stars!

Okay, first why I don’t have a picture because I did do some kind of shoddy work if I’m being honest… I didn’t really care about the full result because I was just going to die another color anyways. I will say that it took dark brown to about light blonde in about 40 minutes. Other parts of the hair that didn’t get as much time or turned into dirty blonde. This was on thin wavy hair.

As for the product itself, came with everything that made it so much easier like the mixing container. It also didn’t smell bad or burn. I’m used to most bleaches burning or stinking up the whole bathroom but it actually didn’t smell bad at all. Smelled a little like paint which wasn’t bad in my opinion. It literally left the hair superrrrr soft. I’m talking ridiculously soft. Normally it feels completely stripped after using bleach but wow. If I’m ever bleaching hair again, whether mine or someone else’s I’m definitely buying this bleach again. Left a long lasting impression most definitely.

I would recommend if you’re going to do this though that you use hair foil because I feel like part of the reason why mine turned out so bad was because I didn’t use that hair foil that people use for bleaching hair. I did it section by section and it’s still had some parts that were the last done and were darker than the other ones. It’s definitely fast working though and you could leave it in for like 30 minutes if you just want to go up a few shades.

This product lifted my boxed dyed black hair to a yellowish blonde in two rounds of bleach. Incredibly impressive if you ask me, I was preparing for a couple rounds not just two, which was a great surprise. Also my hair didn’t feel too damaged by the end of it. Finally, the toner that comes with the bleach was FANTASTIC, made my yellow blonde hair white but sadly washed and faded a lot so now it’s back to a warmer colour. Wish it came with more of the toner. Overall, highly recommend!

I have been highlighting my hair for over 40 years and I have never had a solution so hard to rinse out. I understand that you should rinse with very warm water for at least 5 to 7 minutes. That was no where near enough time. After rinsing for aa solid 13 minutes and still had residual solution in my hair. I had to shampoo my hair to get it out! Will not purchase again.

  9. Alexandria

This bleach is so good it took out both the dark brown and the red box dye that was in my hair and came out pretty evenly without damage and allowed me to go to a vibrant orange in one process. Absolutely the best!

  10. Jamie Oczek

Quite a useless product as it didn’t bleach the hair. Waste of time & money.

I used coconut oil on my hair before bleaching, and between that and this being an ammonia-free, 20-level product my hair doesn’t feel damaged at all after using! However, there isn’t a ton of product in the kit – I have thick, shoulder-length hair and needed more bleach and toner than what was provided (I made it work but just barely, and ended up less blonde than I would’ve liked). For a root touch up, this kit is probably fine, but for all-over application, make sure you get two kits for full coverage! At this price point, that’s not so bad of a deal. But it sucks to run out of bleach when you still have hair left to cover! Also, I have medium to dark brown hair with reddish tones, and this turned my hair a dishwater blonde instead of a light, pale blonde, even with toner. Works for me cuz I was always planning to dye a bright color over it and was just using this kit for the lift – but if you want a bright, light blonde, you prob need a higher level developer. Hope this helps!

I color my hair very often. Usually dark colors. Make sure to do your ends first. Wait about 10 minutes, and then do your roots. It helps with a more even lift. But overall, it worked very well. I’m very pleased with the outcome. Will definitely use this brand from now on.

  13. Saxyn

Good lift for 1B hair. (I have 3c/4a type hair) Gave me great highlights and lowlights. I still prefer my favorite brand over this but wanted to give this one a chance because of accessibility and quicker shipping. This is perfect if you have shorter hair. But if you want to do a full head of shoulder length hair or longer, id suggest getting two boxes or looking elsewhere.
