So after my last wax session at salon I always leave contemplating on if I should just buy a at home wax kit & I did! I got this one & it being my 1st I was excited to cut the costs of going to salon & just convenience of it all. I tried it when I just had a little bit of hair (my sideburns) bc it was new & was excited, but wanted to wait to write a review when my hair actually grew out a bit, Well it grown out & this morning I re used wax kit & I was just so happy & satisfied that I’m doing this at home! Yes you might have to re apply a fewer more times then at salon, but I 100% recommend this & wish I would’ve been doing this sooner!

    Warning, Long and thorough review…!!
I am in my mid 40s and have been waxing most of my life and have used many methods and kits.
This kit is by far the best!

    1. YAY for women owned companies! This is a woman owned company and a fabulous product!

    2. Super stoked I got the silicone warming bowl in my kit! I think that is one of the best things since Betty White! (I would say sliced bread, but Betty White has been around longer! 🙂 ) The silicone warming bowl fits perfectly inside the warmer, has NO SMELL, and is super easy to clean! It is also great for switching waxes because you just wait for the wax to cool and harden back up then you can pop it right out of the bowl and save it for later while you use the bowl for a different wax!
I was worried I would get a metal bowl instead of the silicone one they mentioned so before my kit arrived I looked on their page here in Amazon as well as their website but did not find one to buy on its own. (you should do this KoluaWax!) so yes, extremely happy with that!

    3. This is a COMPLETE started kit! I did not have to buy anything separately although I DID by a 1lb bag of the Blue color course hair beans because I knew I would be doing my legs. The bags it comes with are a great sample size! Plenty to get a good feel for the product and decided what works best where. The kit was packaged very nicely and securely in a sturdy box and even included a cute little Lai. Noteworthy point: even though the liquid items were well sealed, they were also packed in an upright position so no leaks in the box! 🙂 It came with plenty of varied size stick/wood spatulas to get you going, the 2 liquids, quick start guide, the waxes, and the warmer with pot and lid.

    4. The warmer: It is between the size of a dessert plate and a dinner plate. The cord is a 3 PRONG (US) cord that is very thick and durable! The temperature adjustment is a dial that is quite sensitive so if you bump it check to ensure you did not change the temp of your wax. It is easy to use though and I love the digital display! It only took about 5 minutes or less to determine that (for me) about 165 degree Fahrenheit was perfect for waxing my arms with the blue wax. (more on that later)
The warmer comes with a see through lid and you can cover it while warming which is great so I can walk away and not worry about my cats waxing their snoots shut!!! The outside of the warmer DOES heat up when in use so keep other items away from it. Even though the outside gets warm, I did not find it too hot to pick up and move (with both hands, while full and on max heat). I wouldn’t hang onto it for too long though. It keeps the wax at the set temp the entire time you are using it, which is awesome! I hate having to turn a warmer on and off to try and keep a set temp.

    5. The Prep and Hydrate liquids: As previously mentioned these are packaged and shipped very well! The clean and prep oil has a scent that immediately reminded me of that Sea Breeze facial astringent from the 80s and 90s that some of us are familiar with. Personally I liked it; those sensitive to smells may want to use it in a well ventilated area. The hydrate oil had virtually no smell. Both work very well and do not require you to use a lot in order to do their job. I did still have to do slight “picking” in one area where some wax residue was left behind from my first couple experiment runs, nothing major though. Neither product irritated my skin in any way, and I have very sensitive skin. (used on arms, doing legs tonight) The Hydrate oil is an actual oil similar to baby oil and such so I left it on while I did my clean up then about 15-20 minutes later I used a warm, damp cloth and lightly wiped to remove some of what was still there. I did not want to risk getting oil all in my bed. It works great though as my arms as super soft and hydrated this morning! I can’t stop touching them even as I type this review! Lol

    6. The wax: So far I have only used the Blue wax pearls made for course hair. I used these because I was originally intending to do my legs last night but ended up doing my arms instead. This worked great on my arms even though the pink color general purpose would have probably been perfect as my arm hair is not course. I can tell the blue will work very well for my legs! The wax has very little smell, which I like because it is not lingering or over powering. I think it was said to be ocean breeze or something of the sort. Having such a faint scent it was hard to place it exactly but I think the name fits. It was certainly not a bad smell.
As with all wax, you must be patient when warming. I followed the instructions by filling the pot with my desired amount, turning it on high till the pearls were half melted, then setting to a temp between 140 and 170 (Fahrenheit). As previously mentioned, 163-165 was perfect for my arms. I think for face or other sensitive areas a lower temp will be better, but no burns or heat rash on my sensitive skin so far!
The product it super easy to work with! Least messy product I have used in my 20+ years of waxing! Any accidental stringing or drips were very easy to clean up, you just wait for them to dry a bit and pick them right up!
This product is also the least “painful” I have ever used as well. I actually enjoy waxing and do not think it is painful per say, but in comparison to everything else I have used over the years, this one is by far the least “painful”.

In Conclusion: This kit and the product is awesome and I am so happy I chose this one! The kit is outstanding for home use and I also believe it would be great for professional use. The price was really awesome! I have paid way more for just a warmer before! It is very easy to use for beginners and more experienced users alike! It is beautiful and their direct website has tons of information and video tutorials to assist you. I will never go back to any other kit or product!

As someone with sensitive skin, I was initially hesitant to order this wax pot after seeing some reviews about a strong scent. However, in my experience, there’s hardly any noticeable fragrance—if anything, it’s incredibly mild. While I do experience a slight rash after waxing my eyebrows, it fades within an hour with the help of a cold compress and fresh aloe. Overall, this wax pot is far easier to use than traditional wax strips, which I found messy and more prone to causing burns. I’m really pleased with how smooth and efficient the process is!

I have tried a different waxing kit and it did not include a silicone mold, so it was so hard to clean. With this one I have such an easy time to clean afterwards. I also really like the waxing beads and how they’re labeled by body areas. The pre-wax and post-wax work very well and do not irritate my sensitive skin. I suffer from rosacea and I waxed my face using the products included and I did not break out. I highly recommend!

This is gonna be a semi long review🤗

    1) Temperature settings:
I love that this wax pot has a digital temperature reader! You can adjust the temperature so much easier this way. The temperature goes all the way up to about 250 (i can’t remember the exact number off the top of my head), this allows for the wax to melt so quickly. I was able to empty an entire bag of wax (that came with the wax pot) and it melted in less than 10 minutes! Other wax pots will only have the temperature dial and have the temperature labeled in 15-20 degree intervals which can be very tricky!! I also truly love how how the pot does not turn off on its own for “temperature regulation”. Of course this aspect comes down to personal preference, but in my opinion it makes the initial melting process much quicker when wax pots DONT have the regulation feature.

    2) The wax pot itself:
I have used a few wax melting pots and all of the ones I have used have had a metal pot inside. This wax pot has a silicone bowl instead of a metal one which it makes it so effortless for cleaning! When i’m done using the wax, i let it solidify and pop it out of the silicone bowl and im able to store it for another time. It makes it so easy to switch between different colors/types of wax if you’re using multiple waxes in one sitting.

    3) The extra goodies:
This beginner waxing kit comes with so many extra goodies, making it the perfect starter kit for anyone trying to self wax. It comes with two different sprays, a pre wax cleaning spray and a post wax hydration spray oil. The cleaning spray has a slight minty scent but it is not at all overpowering and did not cause any irritation on my skin. The post wax spray oil is super hydrating and made my skin feel so much smoother after the wax. This kit also comes with two sizes of popsicle sticks. One set of smaller sticks, ideal for facial waxing, as we all as a set of larger sticks that work well for every where else on the body. It comes with wayyyyy more popsicle sticks that i would have expected! Other waxing kits in the past have only given 5-10 small sticks which can be inconvenient, so i’m extremely happy about the ones in this kit!

    3) Wax beads:
With this kit, you get four bags of wax. 2 bags of “all over body” wax which i prefer for arms, legs, back, etc; 1 bag of facial wax, for eyebrows, upper lip and I even tried this for my nose and it worked great! And 1 bag of wax for your bikini area/thicker hair, i did use this for a brazilian and under arm wax and it performed perfectly for both. Each bag has 3.5 ounces, so they are definitely sample size bags just for testing out the waxes. They do sell 1lb bags of wax separately if you choose to repurchase. The three different types of wax are different colors and have a slight fragrance to them but nothing too distinctive. The wax is smooth and applies easily.

I was using the greenlife wax pot for a while and ended up buying this one on a whim. It is absolutely amazing! I wish I had bought this first because the greenlife pot doesn’t even compare to this. It’s definitely worth the extra $$. The cleanup is a million times easier with the silicon pot insert and the temperature control is such a nice feature to have. No more guessing if the wax will be too hot or cold.
I’d totally recommend this one because the price isn’t too bad, and you get a couple small bags of wax with it to test out. Totally worth it if you’re looking to do some at home waxing!

Best wax machine I’ve ever had. Love it. Came with a good set of wax beans

Okay, so it takes awhile for the wax beads to melt & they do have a strong chemical smell. HOWEVER, for the price, I’d say it is worth it. I bought the blush pot & it came perfectly wrapped and appeared to be brand new/unused. I did not like the post wax, as it has unfavourable ingredients like parabens.

I was originally disappointed because I wasted quite a bit of wax while trying to wax my legs & it was not effective whatsoever. I got worried & almost did not attempt a Brazilian. However, I ultimately did & I was pleasantly surprised how effective it was for my hair there vs my legs. I managed to get 95% of hair with all of the roots! I also attempted my arm pits with the same results. (:

Overall, I was going to return this in the beginning because if how long it took to melt the wax beads & how ineffective it was on my legs. I’m glad I pushed through!

I went through ALL of the wax packets minus the face one & I will need to buy more. I would go with the blue wax vs the pink due to the heavy chemical-smell; although, I do think I will try to find a better type of wax in the future.

I did keep the heat at max until more than half was melted & then turned it down to 180. Once melted, I turned it down again to 155, took the lid off & stirred until I reached that honey-like consistency.

Ultimately, I would recommend this pot warmer – buy it if you are contemplating it! The blush one is visually appealing, does not get too hot to the touch and the silicone insert is a huge plus because it is much easier to clean!

P.S – Bushbalm has the best aftercare for your post wax areas!

With the cost of everything rising, I decided I want to do most of my beauty maintenance myself at home, starting with waxing. I was nervous at first because I’ve never waxed myself before and was terrified I was going to hurt myself. I did a bunch of worrying for nothing. I waxed my underarms and it was super simple and efficient. It was a bit messy for me, but I think it’s only because it was my first time. As time goes on I’m sure I’ll get better with the application. But I love this kit. Great product for beginners.
