8 reviews for Lancôme Hydra Zen Moisturizer – Hydrating & Soothing Face Cream with Hyaluronic Acid

  1. tinyeyes

This cream works really well as a basic daily moisturizer. It absorbs super quickly, and my skin feels hydrated and soothing, especially as the weather cools down and my skin gets drier. I do have to use much more product than expected, but it still doesn’t feel heavy, oily, or sticky, which is great. However, I think it’s better suited for summer, if you have very dry skin, it might not be quite enough on its own during the colder months.

  2. MeNa

This is a Lancome product so one hesitates to be critical. After all, the brand is famous, and the price reflects this. But there is just too strong a perfume in it–enough my husband commented on it. To me, it’s a pleasing rose scent so get me wrong on that, but I do not want perfume in a product I am going to use on my face as perfumes can be irritating to the tender, sensitive facial skin.

Regretfully, I can’t use it on my face because of the heavy perfume. But I find that it is lovely to use on my hands, arms, legs where the skin is less sensitive–though at this price I won’t be using it as a body lotion after this jar is gone. As a vine participant I did not have to pay for it, and so can enjoy it as a rich cream for my dry skin even if it was a bit irritating on my super sensitive face.

  3. KP

Hydra Zen Cream from Lancome is a great moisturizer which I found to have a long lasting effect. The cream melts like a butter when applied to the skin. It took a few min. to fully absorbed by the skin leaving no unpleasant residue. I can use this cream under makeup easily. It does have a floral/citrus perfume but I find it pleasent. The price point is a bit on the higher side but it may worth it.

This day cream has a rich, velvety texture that feels smooth and luxurious upon application. Despite its creamy consistency, it absorbs surprisingly well into the skin without leaving a heavy or greasy residue. It provides an immediate feeling of comfort, making it ideal for dry or sensitive skin types. It also serves as an excellent base for makeup, creating a smooth canvas that helps foundation apply evenly.

One of the key benefits of the Hydra Zen Day Cream is its ability to deliver intense hydration. The formula is enriched with hyaluronic acid, known for its hydrating properties, and rose extract, which helps to soothe and calm the skin. After using it, my skin felt soft, plump, and well-moisturized throughout the day, with no signs of dryness or tightness. It’s particularly effective at reducing redness and irritation, making it a great option for sensitive skin.

The cream is packed with ingredients that help protect the skin from environmental stressors, such as pollution and extreme weather conditions. It includes Moringa seed extract, which has antioxidant properties, and peony root extract, which helps to soothe and protect the skin. The formula is also designed to strengthen the skin’s natural barrier, which is essential for maintaining healthy, resilient skin.

Lancôme products are known for their pleasant, subtle fragrances, and the Hydra Zen Day Cream is no exception. It has a light, floral scent that’s refreshing without being overpowering. However, for those with sensitive skin or who prefer fragrance-free products, the scent might be a point of concern. While it didn’t irritate my skin, those sensitive to fragrances should patch-test first.

While the Hydra Zen Day Cream excels in hydration and soothing properties, it might be too rich for those with oily or acne-prone skin, especially during warmer months. It’s also on the pricier side, which might not make it a feasible option for everyone, particularly if you’re looking for a more budget-friendly daily moisturizer. Additionally, it doesn’t contain SPF, so you’ll need to layer it with a sunscreen for daytime protection.

The Lancôme Hydra Zen Day Cream is a luxurious and effective moisturizer that delivers long-lasting hydration while calming and protecting the skin. It’s particularly well-suited for dry and sensitive skin types, offering comfort and soothing benefits throughout the day. While it might be too rich for oily skin and lacks SPF, it’s an excellent choice for anyone looking to invest in a high-quality, hydrating day cream that leaves the skin feeling soft, smooth, and radiant.

  5. cenerentola

This moisturizer has a a bit of a strong floral scent, for some it might be overpowering, especially those with very sensitive skin. The moisturizer is nice, but definitely not my favorite. I have very dry skin and haven’t noticed much hydration. Its soft and went on smoothly without sticky or greasy feeling. I would say this might be a great moisturizer for someone that with Normal or Combo skin.

This product leaves your face feeling hydrated and refreshed.

  7. cenerentola

I love Lancôme products and this moisturizer didn’t disappoint. It feels refreshing on my skin and absorbs well. It keeps my face moisturized all day. It does have a heavy floral scent that I could do without, but it seems to fade a few minutes after applying.

  8. D&CP301

This Lancome Hydra Zen Day Cream is very hydrating and smoothing for my normal but maturing skin. The listing doesn’t seem to mention one of the best ingredients which is capryloyl salicylic acid, also known as LHA. It’s an ester of salicylic acid developed by L’Oreal, which is similar to AHA but a little more gentle. Since it has hyaluronic acid, you want to leave skin a little damp after cleansing when you are applying it. I wish that it didn’t have alcohol, but I know that it helps with absorption, and it’s far enough down on the ingredient list in this one that it isn’t a dealbreaker for me. I could also do without the added fragrance, but it is a pleasant enough floral scent. Overall, this is a nice cream that feels good on the skin and gives a little glow. Recommend.
