I love these. It enables me to have a clean bathroom counter because I can put away the hair tools hot. It’s also great for travel. I used to never do my hair on the day I travel home, but now I can put a heated tool in the suitcase without worry of burning my clothes. It also protects the counter itself.

The quality of this is pretty great! I have a chi hair straightener iron and the mighty comb. Both which gets up to 400-450 degrees. This Mat hasn’t melted or burned. I set up my hair tool and have it sit on the mat to give time to heat up, so whatever one I’m using at the time, it’s sitting there for at least 5 minutes without being disturbed. These are great options to use if you don’t have a vanity, table or anything to rest your hot hair tool on or to use on a platform you don’t want to get ruined.
I bought another mat for my step daughter who’s 15 years old and who likes to get ready sitting on the floor in her bedroom in front of a long mirror instead of the bathroom. I was nervous she’d burn the carpet and start a fire
(unfortunately some teens don’t think of these consequences) having this makes me feel better and safer but I ALWAYS Make sure her hair iron is unplugged after each use so please don’t just rely on this! Kids house definitely be monitored to be on the extra safe side.
For my use, I use the mat on my vanity that’s wood. It hasn’t damaged it or anything. The mat clearly will get hot from hair tools so you still need to be carful not to touch the rubber with bare hands. This is also great for travel. I haven’t noticed any burning smells coming from it.

I love this heat mat. It’s a great size. I can fit both my flat iron and hot comb into it and still have space for something else. It’s a bright red color and goes great with my red salon station. Five stars😁
