This stuff has been my go to for about 2 years now. Scent is soft and has an almost vanilla smell to it. Goes on evenly and you can brush through it. I have extreamly thick hair and a little goes a long way with this. Dries natural looking with no sheen. Also holds really well. Washes out super simply as well.

I have tried out many creams and clays over the years on my hair and so far this one i have been most satisfied with. My barber used it on me first and gave it a try after using Aveda, american crew, cremo and many others and havent gone back since.
Sometimes if i am going to be active/sweating or out for a long day, i will also use layrite cream and their clay for a longer hold. The cream by itself is great though for majority of the time.

I’ve used LayRite for over a year now. I won’t ever use another hair product. I like that it’s water-based, especially as I’ve been told by barbers that’s the best option. It works very well and smells great. Highly recommend to try. I’ve only been buying the 10oz containers for awhile now since its better for $/oz and I know I’ll be using it for a long time.

I originally bought the smaller size. One of the things I loved most about it was that it was light and airy, but with good hold – almost like a whipped mousse or something where it kind of had air bubbles throughout the cream.
Convinced that this was a product for me, I upgraded to the big tub. It still works great, but seems thicker and heavier – more like a paste (but its still lighter than other products like Bed Head matte separation wax which I’d previously used).
Still, this is a great product, with great hold and still has a lighter feel. Best of all, it washes out easily, even just with water, but doesn’t really run from sweat or regular wear. So unlike other high hold, matte products, it won’t build up if you shower but don’t shampoo.
