I have several Leven Rose products and all of them are fantastic. This oil is no exception. It has an almost imperceptible scent. The oil comes from the rose hips (fruit), so it does not have a rose scent. It soaks in well to the skin and does not leave a greasy residue. I’ve been putting it on my face at night and using the Leven Rose Witch Hazel Toner in the morning. I am noticing a great improvement in my acne, the softness of my skin, and the elasticity of my skin. I plan to start using it on my stretch marks to help them fade.
I like that all the Leven Rose products are natural, have no harmful chemicals, and are non-irritating. Rose hip oil is somewhat fragile, so I suggest storing it in the refrigerator.
UPDATE: I have been using this Rosehip Oil along with the Leven Rose brand Neroli (Orange Blossom) Water every day for about a month. I went to get my monthly massage and my massage therapist out of blue asked me if I had any treatments done on my face (like botox or a peel). I said I was just using the above two Leven Rose products. She was amazed at how much my skin had changed – my wrinkles were gone, my skin was firmer, softer, more youthful. It is great to have independent affirmation of the astounding difference I noticed myself 🙂

This oil has so many benefits to it I put it in all my home made lotions and soaps. Also good to just massage into the skin. Keeps your skin looking moisturized and looking healthy. Absorbs very nicely into the skin and very easy to use.

UPDATE: Had to give 5 stars for both the product and the customer service! Amanda at Leven Rose reached out to make it right, despite the issue being an Amazon issue and not a Leven Rose issue. Says a lot about the company that they take care of their customers. I have now used the rosehip oil, and I am loving it as much as I love the rosewater spray. The oil is thin and spreadable, I use it at night and yes it is oily obviously but not uncomfortably so. The oil has tremendously helped moisturize and calm the areas of face that are more sensitive to tretinoin. I recently increased my tretinoin strength and using the Leven Rose rosehip oil has helped keep my skin from drying or flaking too much. I also have rosacea, I know the Leven Rose rosewater spray has helped calm the rosacea and it seems the rosehip oil is calming as well. It isn’t a miracle but my rosacea now looks a healthy pink instead of lobster red, I’ll take that win!

This is one of the natural oils that is good for your skin. I use it daily, and at 71 I still don’t have any noticeable wrinkles. I stopped using the big name skin products a few years ago, and find that the natural oils such as this one are much more effective. I like this brand since it is cold pressed and unrefined. I did try one other brand, which I won’t mention the name, that had an unnaturally dark orange color that I didn’t trust. Since this product is cold pressed, and not heated, more of the nutrients of the oil have been retained.
Rosehip seed oil is harvested from the seeds of rose bushes predominately grown in Chile, and is full of vitamins, antioxidants and essential fatty acids that are known to correct dark spots and hydrate dry, itchy skin, all while reducing scars and fine lines. Unlike some of the heavier oils, Rosehip seed oil is lighter and absorbs readily into the skin. It’s anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant, which helps to decrease environmental damage and soothe the skin.With skin rejuvenating properties like vitamin C and lycopene, rosehip seed oil is a safer solution to repair the skin’s surface, restore elasticity and protects against sun and pollution stressors that can lead to wrinkles. Continuous application of rosehip seed oil effectively attenuates scars and wrinkles, halts advancement of premature aging, and restores lost skin natural color and tone. The action of rosehip seed oil in helping to regenerate damaged skin tissues was originally attributed to its high content of unsaturated essential fatty acids. So, enough of passing on my research. This is one of the natural oils that I have included in my regimen of oils I use on my face and my 98 year old mother’s face. I very much like this oil and will continue using it. I do recommend this brand for the reasons mentioned above. I have attached a picture of my mother, and I think she looks pretty good for her age. Are we ever so old that we have to accept the aging process?? I don’t think so.
Update 7/08/18:
I have had red blotches on the back of my left upper arm for quite a while. There was no discomfort or itching – just red blotches. For the heck of it, I decided to try this oil on my arm. Within 3 days, the blotches are almost gone. I am so amazed since I had been just accepting the redness on my arm. I will continue to use this oil on my arm until the blotches are completely gone. This stuff really works for skin problems!!

I really love these products. I only gave 4 stars because I ordered 2 32oz jugs of rosehips oil to make calendula infused oil…unfortunately I’m new to rosehips seed oil and the first just I opened smelled funny…couldn’t quite put my finger on it, …I thought maybe that’s how it was supposed to be so I poured it over my friend calendula I’m a 64oz jar. Then I opened the second container and the smell was so much more subtle and non offensive. That being said I’m pretty sure the first jug was starting to go rancid. I really with I would have opened the second jug before pouring it in, I just wasted to much money. I was infusing this to make Xmas present and I’m worried the end product will go rancid quickly. Other thank that, I have absolutely loved the quality of these oils and have purchased a bunch lately. This is they only one I received that was questionable
