This gel was a miracle cure for me. So glad I found it. Will be ordering more.

Overall, I think that this is an excellent product with lots of uses — see a couple of caveats below.

I’ve purchased and used 8 – 10 bottles over the past 2 years or so. Mostly, I apply it all over my face and neck after shaving in the morning and am pleased with the slightly tightening and softening effect from the aloe on my 45+ year old skin. I also use it, occasionally, as a hair gel — it provides SOME body/hold for my short hair, but it is not a substitute for the holding power of normal hair gel. Also, I’ve found this effective in minimizing itches from minor irritations like mosquito bites. Of course, it’s fantastic for sunburn.

The caveats: (1) when applying it to the body (arms, legs, hands, etc.), it can have a little bit of a sticky feel; not a big deal for me, but one of my daughters dislikes it for this reason, and (2) others have commented about “burning” their skin. One of the bottles I’ve used had a slightly irritating (kind of burning feel) effect on my skin that none of the bottles before or since has had. I can only speculate that, since the product had not reached its expiration date, perhaps Lily of the Desert’s quality control slipped up on this one and, maybe, the pH of that particular product was a little off — I can’t say for sure. But, this experience does make me wonder if consumers whose natural pH is slightly different than mine might regularly have problems(?). The only way to know for sure is to try it yourself, but most reviewers seem to have had very good experiences with the aloe, as I have. Bottom line: if you know that you have sensitive skin, then this might not be the product for you. Otherwise, I highly recommend it for many different uses.

Its so refreshing! And I like how it has very minimal ingredients. It helps hold moisture in my skin without making it oily

No alcohol sting, just lite and refreshing.
I even use, trust on face!!!

This is so amazing! Only thing that helped actually stop the burning feeling and also soothed and reduced the amount of peeling. Although I still did peel my skin was as moisturized as possible. No stinky smell, no sticky feeling.

  7. Neatalia

This is the only aloe I found that didn’t have a single harmful ingredient and has a 100/100 Yuka rating. It was packaged well and it has a pleasant, sweet smell. The 12 oz bottle is big and I’m not sure I will be able to use this all before the expiration date. I used this for the first time one night, after a beach day with too much sun. I keep it in the refrigerator for sunburn relief. It was very sticky, (duh, I mean it’s aloe!) but did absorb rather quickly. It made my skin feel very very tight but that could be from the burn. The sunburn was 100% gone by the morning. I am hooked. I hope this company stays around for a long time!

  8. Nami Young

A good quality product, not greasy, not sticky, no obnoxious artificial smell, has never irritated my very sensitive skin, very soothing to the skin after being in the sun.

  9. Grace Dansereau

I have used this product for many many years and know it is top quality having been to another quality brand supplier’s science presentation at an Aloe Vera farm in TX who is a market competitor, but also a scientist and more than well educated man. He agreed with talking with him one on one that this was a brand he also approved of as being quality.

  10. Deigh E. Frost

This aloe gel is nice and helped with my sunburn.

  11. FlashFlanagan

I have used this product before and always had great results, It’s a must on holiday for any sunburn and dry skin but also an essential in my medicine cabinet.

  12. Gustave

    Article conforme, reçu rapidement.
