I am obsessed with this product, I’ve been using it for a long time now. I use it after I shower before I blow-dry my hair. It helps me brush through my tangly hair, makes my hair feel insanely soft, and makes it look shiny and healthy. It helps with the frizz for a while throughout the day, not as much as I would hope but still helps. Plus, it smells so good! My boyfriend and family always say I smell good and it’s usually this product that they can smell. Also, it lasts forever. I’m thankful to have found it on Amazon because I can never find it in-store anymore.

I got this for my husband. He has short curly hair and this product works well as a straightener with a blow dryer. I did not notice any scent.

This product works great for me. I have thick hair and since I have dermatitis I have to blow my hair every time I wash it, I feel this product really protects me from the hairdryer and also brings a los of volume to my hair.

** Update- I ordered a second time and it arrived on time, undamaged and this product has proven to be a good staple for when I use heat to style my wet hair. It is an affordable option to include without her products that helps prevent frizz and split ends without weighing my hair down. It doesn’t take much and I have a decent amount of hair; if you use the right amount it can last for several months!
I ordered this as a recommendation from Amazon when I ordered the Revlon heated/ blowdryer- round brush combo. I have used this L’oreal lotion per the instructions several times and haven’t noticed it helping protect my hair from the heat- in fact I’d say my hair feels a bit more brittle at times after drying but I can’t attribute it to the products or the tools because they are all new.
The lotion areived on time and seemed fine. It has a light scent that disappears quickly. The lotion is not as thick as a gel but more viscous than a conditioning cream. The review asks to possibly mention drying power and sheerness but I don’t know how to incorporate this in my review as this isn’t described as a sheer drying lotion nor a product to decrease drying time; rather a heat protectant.

Oh my gosh, I am so happy with this product! I haven’t blow dryed my hair save for a couple times in some 20 years or so, but I started washing my hair at nighttime and going to bed with soaking wet hair isn’t great. I have super thick hair down to my waist and it takes forever to dry by any method, but in the past I’ve just never found a blow drying routine that worked well. I’m super picky with hair products and hate being able to feel any kind of residue on it; the only thing I tend to use in it is a lightweight shine serum and it took so much trial and error to find one I loved.
Since I wanted to start blow drying my hair, I needed a heat protectant and I was very pessimistic about finding a good product given my past experiences with them- so much can go wrong! It can be too heavy, too fragranced, and sin of sins- leave a sticky or otherwise discernible residue when the hair is dry.
I’m so happy to have picked this blow dry cream as a heat protectant- it’s freaking fantastic and checks all my boxes! It has a lightweight lotion-like texture, pleasant and not overpowering scent that dissipates, is undetectable on dry hair, adds some shine and softness, shortens dry time…all at less than $5. I’m not very talented at all with my blow dryer and I can do a blowout that rivals the salon, so I’d say it’s very easy to use as well. I use a little less than 2 quarter sized dollops worked through 50-75% dry hair from the ends up, and it takes 10-15 minutes to get my massive mop of hair dry on warm/medium blow dryer settings. Hair is soft, smooth, shiny and bouncy- and there’s no buildup or need to wash more often than I previously did.
I mean it’s too good to be true- I will absolutely repurchase again and again!

I was skeptical. I usually spend much more (read: too much) on heat protectant for my hair. But this product is AMAZING. Right off the bat I loved the way it smelled. Then I loved the weight when applied to my damp very fine hair — not heavy, not greasy, but not non-existent. It doesn’t weigh my hair down at all. In fact, my hair feels cleaner than usual on day two… and even on day three after washing… so I’d say this product is great at lightweight non-greasy protection. I feel like there is less damage than I’ve seen with other products.
For reference I blow dry every 2-3 days, and heat straighten or curl most days.
I recommend this over any other product I’ve used.
****UPDATE**** AFTER using this product for about a month my hair is still very soft BUT I have massively bad breakage. There has been no other change in my hair care routine, so i can only assume the level of heat protectant offered isn’t sufficient for my ultra-fine hair. I’m super sad, because my hair is delicate and hard to grow. I wish I had never changed product.

I love this product. I use it in my hair when wet as I never blow dry however I do use a flat iron when my hair is dry. My hair turns out great every time.
