Heat slayer definitely slays when it comes to an iron guard. I also use it before I blow dry my hair! Light scent, great protection and does not leave my hair feeling heavy and greasy like some other brands after applying it. Instead it’s soft and shiny. Must try!

This spray didn’t do anything for my hair. I have very fine, wavy, oily, waist-length hair that I keep twisted in an up ‘do in order to keep it out of my way at work. In order to be able to put it up easily, I have to blow dry it, so it needs heat protection.
The ends are already fairly dry, and I was looking for something that might breathe a little life into them and protect the rest. I have only used it once, and I’ll likely give it another try or three and will update if there’s a change, but so far, it just makes my hair smell nice, but does nothing to repair or protect, sadly. My ends are still frizzy and lifeless, but now they smell better. So, my search continues.

I like this heat protectant! It dries relatively fast. It leaves the hair with a lasting scent. It definitely is one of the LESS sticky heat protectants. And it has solid ingredients too. The scent reminds me of sunscreen lol. I feel like I’ve used a sunscreen in the past that had this exact scent. It doesn’t feel oily (thank goodness!) and with a flat iron? It gives the hair a lot of shine! My hair feels fairly smooth. Though I’ve noticed that in some areas my hair feels a tad bit dry. But the dryness kind of wore off. The ends of my hair especially feel smooth. Obviously too much product will make the hair feel hard or weighed down. So play around with the amount to find out how much is too much.
Overall? Great choice!

Honestly, I didn’t have high expectations for this product, but it helped protect my hair from heat so amazingly. It didn’t leave my hair greasy, it smelled amazingly, and of course, protected my hair from the heat. 10/10 recommended, it’s affordable and does what it’s supposed to do!

Did it leave my hair soft? Yes. Did it protect my hair from heat damage? Yeah it did a decent job. However I can’t get over the scent of this product so I’ll be throwing it away. I’ve just it once and the scent is overpowering. It leaves your hair smelling like you’ve just been clubbing. It doesn’t smell floral. Instead smells like a combination of Chanel perfume and cigarettes. If I was young and in my partying days, I wouldn’t mind this scent, but now at this stage of life, I want a nice refreshing or calming scent that reminds me of a luxurious spa day.

I thought I needed a haircut to manage my dry ends and fly aways, turns out I just needed this heat protectant. My hair is soft shinny and looks so much healthier after using this product prior to adding heat (blow dryer) to style my hair. Plus it smells nice.
