I love this color
It’s a pretty silvery ash blonde
And the conditioner that comes with it smells SO good and makes my hair soft and silky. Only downside is that the toner component in the formula washes out after about 5 washes and the cool tones go away. Still have nice blonde afterwards but not the silver blue effect

The product is great. Nice color. This is the second time I’ve gotten a box where the color, not the developer, was half gone. It’s like someone bought this, used what amount they wanted and returned it. Then Amazon turned around and resold it. I can’t find any return info on the Website.

My hair is blondeish with a lot of grey this color leaves my hair a beautiful brownish with blonde streaks. Don’t wash your before or for at least 3 days after colorings or you’ll notice fading.
This is my fourth time using this color every 4-6 weeks.

I’m a natural auburn/red head, freckled, blue eyes, etc. I’ve had it professionally streaked blonde, dyed multiple shades of auburn, etc. I’m no stranger to professional hair coloring. But, I’ve also dyed my hair black from a box for many years, too.
I have never…ever…. box dyed my hair my natural color. I only ever did with black because it was the easiest and I loved it. My natural color though is extremely tough to color match. It has blonde, brown and red. HOWEVER on whim, after noticing grey for the first time, I decided to try 5AB. Oddly enough…. it worked. Perfectly. I’m from DC and I’ve been feeling frugal lately and this product has been a god send. I truly didn’t even think it’d work and I was prepping myself for a $300 salon bill. It did. Thank you so much. I feel like myself again. If you’re on the cusp of brown/blonde/red, I’d highly recommend.

I BOUGHT THIS AS I WANTED TO GO GRAY. I HAD DONE A SEMI PERMANANT COLOR IN MY HAIR DID NOT LIKE IT THEN BOUGHT A LIGHTENER FOR MY HAIR, AS I DECIDED I WAS SO TIRED OF DYING MY HAIR. I TRIED THIS BECAUSE IT WAS RUNNING MY HAIR WITH DRYNESS HAVING TO DO ROOTS EVERY 3 WEEKS. IT WAS SO TIME CONSUMING, SO AFTER I USED THE COLOR LIGHTENER I THEN USED PURPLE SHAMPOO TO LIGHTEN IT FURTHER. HOWEVER WHEN I USED THIS COLOR GRAY IT TURNED MY HAIR A MEDIUM BROWN. I WAS NOT HAPPY AT ALL. I THINK THE BRAND IS GOOD IT JUST DID NOT DO FOR ME WHAT I WANTED.

Been using this product for 40 years or close to that. I use it like I would A shampoo apply it wait the 45 minutes rinse it out and use the conditioner supplied with the product. I would buy the conditioner if it were available separately – just to have on hand. It is far superior to anything else out there. You’ll find when finished – you can easoly run a comb through your hair – the conditioner is so good. The product is a good “one application” to go from from almost black to light natural blonde! You are directed not to wash your hair before application. Saving a step.
One major problem, however😢 In the last few months it’s been very difficult to find on the shelves . L’Oréal is increasing the availability of their L’Oréal “Preference” coloring product – that is not sold with the “Blond-essimo” label ! !
Also lately …there are only two shades of blond-essimo available!!!
If it weren’t for inflation I would have bought at least a dozen boxes of my shade, light natural blonde . I expect they will be totally withdrawing this Particular L’Oreal product soon‼️ 😭😩
I can’t say how the L’Oreal “Preference” product performs…
