The BIGGEST plus that gives it a great ranking is the SLIDE up instead of the twist. The other chapsticks use the twist and you always find it twisted up smashed in the cap. This never happens with LipSyl!!! I just love this brand and wish I could find it regularly in stores around me. It goes on smoothly, mint flavor does not bother me, and love how it NEVER gets smashed in the cap when in the pocket. Wish that other brands would have thought of this long ago! I always buy with who has the best deal on the chapstick.

I am a chapstick connoisseur ever since I had to take medication for some nerve damage due to a root canal… long story short the medication dries me out. After extensively testing over 30 brands the last decade, this is my favorite chapstick. It seems to last longer and is by far my preference.
Definitely give this stuff a chance. I am really nervous there will come a time I can no longer find it. Buy some so it continues to be available in the states!

Above all other beauty products I have (and I have A LOT) this lip balm is the MOST essential and the one thing I can never go without. I buy in bulk because I have this stuff stashed everywhere – my purse, my vanity, my nightstand, the pouch on my favorite armchair, I even keep a tube in my pocket at all times. I will double check before I leave the house to make sure I have a tube with me because I will regret it if I forget it. This probably sounds excessive, but this lip balm is indispensable in my daily life. It’s silky and light on the lips, not gritty, waxy, or sticky like other brands I’ve tried. There is no chemically aftertaste and the scent is a strong, fresh peppermint. It has a slight cooling effect on the lips that is soothing if your lips are dry or irritated, or if you (like me) have an oral fixation and struggle with lip licking and chewing. It makes your lips looks glossy and healthy. I’ve been using it for close to 7 years now and I dread the day they discontinue it.
