I purchased this body butter because I used Josie Marin’s for years and bought from QVC but she had priced it to the point it is not worth it and is unaffordable. This has a very creamy texture and smells similar to Ponds Cold Cream like my mom and grandmother used so I can live with that. I don’t know if it works since I just received it but it definitely looks similar to Josie Marin’s.

Seems to be a good quality cream.But it smells like doctor’s office grade antiseptic.
Would not use on anything except for my feet,due to not agreeing with the smell, trying to mix in things to make it smell better.

Ok, I’ve been wanting to try a whipped argan oil body butter for YEARS after seeing Josie Marana selling her brand on QVC. However, her products were too pricey and I didn’t have the money for such a purchase. Now, things are better and I saw this product so I went for it. For $10 I thought it was worth the try. This size in Josie’s line if you can find it would be $80. While this product is made to be like her brand it works very good. It is effortless to put on, no skin tugging, your skin does not feel sticky or oily and it hydrates your skin for awhile. HOWEVER, THE SMELL IS ATROCIOUS! The scent is chemical in nature. It’s just awful. I am keeping it bc it works great but I will be using it on my legs and nowhere near where I can smell it. PLEASE PLEASE address this issue, add a LIGHT scent like vanilla. I will not be reordering this product bc of the scent. If you are sensitive to scents DO NOT PURCHASE…

I bought this last winter just to try it, and soon found myself giving it as a gift to my friends. It has a clean scent. Not quite the Moroccan oil scent you get from the pure oil, but it’s a light clean scent with hints of Moroccan oil. (I see a lot of people on here complaining about a floral scent, but I hate floral scents in lotion, and I don’t get that at all from this). Now for the moisturizing aspect. I really like this lotion. It’s non-greasy, absorbs almost immediately, and hydrates my super dry elbows like nothing else I’ve found. That said, it’s effects are fairly short lived, if not used with a secondary lotion/wax/oil that seals it in. This lotion acts really well as a humectant which hydrates and draws moisture into the skin softening and hydrating it, but not so well as an occlusive (something that seals the moisture in and keeps it there). I highly recommend this product, but also recommend that after you use it, to rub another more occlusive lotion (Vaseline, ChapStick, whatever) over it to lock in the moisture into the really dry areas. This will really soften those dry areas and help make them healthy skin again. You shouldn’t have to use the occlusive everywhere, just where you really need to keep the moisture (like dry elbows, knuckles, etc). Like I said though, this body butter works really well at hydrating super dry skin, and has worked really well at softening it up. I recommend it.

I’ve been (sparingly) using Josie Maran’s Argan Oil for several years. Nothing felt as soothing, healing, and refreshing as her Argan Oil. But it was VERY expensive. I was stunned to find a product that seemed similar but cost much less. Too good to be true? I was skeptical. I’m delighted to report that the same high quality oil is now available for a much more reasonable price point. Slather it on everywhere as often as you want! It feels so good, your skin will love you! P.S.-some reviewers have a beef about the scent. It is similar to many body lotions.
But if that offends you, as one reviewer noted, add a couple of drops of your preferred essential oil. This product is more than worth it!

I love this body butter. I hesitated to buy based on the reviews on the fragrance. I am glad I ordered this anyway. It has a very faint clean fragrance. My skin drinks the Body Butter up and is moisturizing without being greasy. For those who want a more fragrant moisturizer, stir in a few drops of your favorite EO or other fragrance. The price is excellent for the quantity and compares with JM Whipped Argan Oil at a fraction of the cost!
