MANDO Review – I want to preface this all by saying I believe in this product, both brand and concept, but I did encounter a couple of issues with it upon receiving my order of MANDO…

So I ordered a couple tubes of water-based cream, one Pro Sport, one unscented. I believe MANDO’s ‘Pro Sport’ scent is supposed to resemble Pure Sport by Old Spice (actually one of my favorite scents and an OS best-seller). This brings me to my first issue. Upon ‘unsealing’ the foil under the caps, and trying each (Pro Sport and Unscented), first thing I noticed was a slightly sour/cheesy-like smell, and thinking ”this can’t be right’ and at the same time hoping ‘maybe it’s just the active ingredient and the odd smell goes away after application of the product. To my chagrin, I could still smell it after application onto skin. It is now my belief that either:
    * my order/product was tampered with at some point between ordering and first use,, or,
    * Less likely, the product I received may simply be a bad batch, considering that at least 10% of other reviewers reported same issue with the cream, so maybe try the stick instead, at least for armpits.

The second, perhaps lesser issue is that the cream
seems to absorb readily into skin, so doesn’t always spread well… point being, is that you’ll probably use more than just ‘a pea-sized amount’ rubbed in your hands… definely be using the STICK for pits, and use the ‘tube’ for the rest.

I’ve been using Mando for almost a year now. This product is the only one that eliminates my body odor. I don’t have Skin irritation, works effectively, dries quickly, not sticky and I use it as a deodorant and don’t use it for anything lessor I don’t know if it has a good scrubbing ability. It continues to work when I sweat. It is not an antiperspirant. No Skin irritation at all.

I never thought I’d be excited about deodorant, but Mando has truly changed the game. This stuff doesn’t just keep me smelling fresh; it practically makes me feel like a hero. One swipe and I’m ready to conquer the day, or at least the grocery store. I swear, I’m so confident in this deodorant that I’ve started walking around like I’m in a slow-motion action scene. Plus, it’s so effective, even my dog has stopped giving me side-eye for my “questionable” scents. If you want to feel like a legend and avoid awkward social interactions, Mando’s your new best friend.

husband suffered a stroke a few years ago and often his arm is plastered against his body, which traps air and sweat. Bought him first Mando last year after he used my Lume Deo and he loves it. Really does control the odor for up to three days and he’s no longer self conscious. Only whine that I personally have is that the scents are not as pronounced as I thought they would be per the commercial. But this one is really a nice balance.

You are probably wondering if you should buy these products. The short answer is yes, but read on to figure out what to grab and what to skip.

So, I initially bought the trial pack. It came with Bourbon Leather deo creme, some stick deo, some wet wipes, and a body wash. I haven’t tried the wipes or the body wash. The small size (more on that later) lent itself to throw in my camper for an upcoming camping trip.

The main thing you should try is the deodorant lotion. They advertise it for pits, packages, and feet. But don’t neglect the crack. Also, you may consider exposing the tip to prevent that foreskin cheese smell. This stuff works, but there is a caveat. The bourbon leather has a very weak scent, and it smells like medicine. It reminds me of those body wipes they use in nursing homes to clean bed ridden patients. It’s not a terrible smell, and it is tolerable. I believe it is the odor of the active ingredient. It’s not overly pleasant. Usually, about 12 hours in work boots all day would cause foot odor to kill a small mammal. Not anymore. Since starting to use the lotion, at the end of the day, I do not have that horrible foot stank. But the mediciney smell persists. 1000% percent improvement. My advice, pass on the Bourbon Leather scent, but pick up another one.

The trial pack is a small size and it only lasted about two weeks. So, I went on Amazon and ordered more, but I opted for different scents. This time the pro-sport and the Mt. Fuji. These are much improved. There still is the slight aura of the active ingredient, but it is masked very well. I like both of these scents about equally. They are not overpowering like cologne of aftershave, but strong enough to smell nice. Especially when that special someone is moving in close to reward her man after a long day at work.
This is fairly expensive. But not out of bounds when compared to other premium hygiene products like Axe and others. And trust me, this works way better.

So, if you’ve read this far, you are probably wondering why I deducted a star and only gave it a 4-star review? The short answer, available sizes. For a product one uses everyday, it shouldn’t be in a trial size. I would buy a jumbo size of this, even if it cost $50 or more. The small sizes are wasteful. You have to buy more frequently and that’s extra packaging, shipping, etc…

Additionally, pass on the deodorant stick. It works well enough, but not better than the Speed Stick or Right Guard you are probably using now. Its higher price isn’t justified. It also doesn’t apply as smoothly as the product you are using now.

I was a doubter but a friend gave me a sample. Used it as a deodorant and it really kept me smell free all day…I was shocked! It does have a funky smell that goes away once you apply it. Will be purchasing again!

Work as advertised. It does have a rather odd odor initially but it disipates quickly and has no odor thereafter. Keeps BO at bay for a couple of days, easily, of not working hard or exercising. I’m retired so it really works well for me.
