For my daughter’s 11th birthday I got this as a gift since she loves to do hair. I know from experience from my other girls that children’s toys, such as Barbie products to do hair is not as good quality. She absolutely loves this. It’s very professional and fits perfectly on her desk. I could not be happier with this product. It comes with extra hair accessories, and has kept her entertained for hours. $24 was an amazing price! I highly recommend this product. You can also adjust the head as you are doing the hair.

Despite her thousand-yard stare and popsicle lips, she’s all around a pretty decent mannequin. The hair is soft and doesn’t tangle easily, Although I did find her hair to be a bit lacking at the top. It was easy to cut, and it cuts pretty closely to how human hair cuts. It doesn’t cut super bluntly like synthetic wigs do so that’s a plus.
I did find that the hair is almost impossible to curl, I wanted to practice curling hair but even with my curling iron set at 430 it just wouldn’t curl. Plus, it smelled HORRIBLE when I tried to curl it. But for some reason I was able to get my hair crimper to work on it. I don’t recommend any heat styling for this, but it works great for braiding and hair cutting practice!
The wig head also came with a bunch of different tools and accessories, like elastics, clips, bobby pins, decorative bobby pins, rat tailed comb, Velcro hair grip, loop tool and a tabletop mannequin head stand.
All around it’s a great starting kit for cutting and braiding.

I really wanted to master braiding to the scalp and I needed a willing participant that I could be as forceful with as needed to learn. This was perfect for that. The hair was mostly manageable (for synthetic hair) and more importantly, and something I didn’t even consider at the time is that she’s not awful to look at. I’ve seen some creepy looking practice heads and while she’s not winning an beauty pageants she doesn’t offend or startle me. Lol
