I’ve used bonding products before with minimal results. So I wasn’t super excited about using this one. After I shampooed my hair, I added about a quarter size squirt of the product into my hands and spread it throughout the ends of my hair. I added a different type of conditioner to the rest of my hair. I left it on while I shaved my legs and cleaned the rest of my body. When I rinsed it out I was pleasantly surprised by how soft the ends of my hair felt. I have curly hair and it tends to get very dry. After I added hair products to my hair and let it air dry, I noticed that my ends were not as frizzy as they usually are. I believe if I continue to use this I will see even better results.

This review is for the “Matrix Instacure Build-A-Bond Instant Revival Liquid Mask | Bonding Care | Repairs Very Damaged Hair | Citric Acid & Squalane | Strengthens, Softens & Smooths | Vegan, Sulfate & Paraben-Free | 280ml”.

This hair mask is great! I have long, fine, straight hair that tends to be oily at the roots and dry at the ends. It has never been dyed/bleached, but I do have split ends and some minor heat damage near the ends as well. This mask made my hair feel soft and silky again, but it stayed exactly where I put it and didn’t affect my scalp. Most hair masks make my hair quite greasy, so this was great! No, it didn’t fix my split ends, but nothing can really do that. It does help them lay flat and not tangle, however. It’s not a cheap mask, but definitely nice to have on hand to use occasionally. And the tube is surprisingly big.

I try a lot of hair care products and this is definitely ip there. My hair is actually quite healthy and undamaged as I don’t dye or blow dry it or even use any “product” after a conditioner. I figure if a treatment helps my hair be better it can help anyone’s hair. This is definitely a product with a positive impact. I have a sensitive scalp, one reason I don’t use “products”, this doesn’t cause me irritation.

I am a fan of Matrix Hair products.  I was surprised by this hair repair gel, as the consistency is very thin/viscous, just a bit thicker imo than plain water.  It smells great and leaves my hair feeling soft and light.  I have combination hair — oily at the scalp but dry at the ends. I use this more concentrated on my ends, then wrap in a small bun and let it sit for a few minutes to soak in.  I did not use the other 3 products in the set. It’s stated Vegan which is another plus.  I like it!  Hope this helps!  🙂

I have natural hair – no dye, no harsh chemicals and no heat used on it (mostly). I do have a problem with knotting in the back of my head, probably from rubbing on my pillow. I used this product as the instructions said, leaving on for 5 minutes on damp hair. It did seem to soften my hair a bit, but honestly nothing jaw dropping. The packaging says to beware of sun after using because some of the ingredients can make you more sensitive to sun. I was happy, but not overly impressed. The smell is not lingering or super strong.

I have fine, mostly straight hair that has damage from bleach and heat styling. I just recently turned 40 and I have found that the texture or my hair is changing as well… it’s a little wavier, frizzier and more prone to breakage. I am a devotee of salon-quality hair products, and have used a variety of Matrix brand products over the years so I was excited to try this liquid mask. This is the first “liquid mask” I have ever used, and I was surprised by the “liquid” consistency. It is quite thin, even thinner than a regular conditioner, in my opinion. Interesting, right? Not what I expected from a “mask,” but I slathered it on from the middle of my hair to the ends. It felt good going on, and I instantly noticed some detangling and some slip, but it wasn’t earth-shattering. After about 5 minutes, I rinsed and it came out quickly (I like this, because some masks feel like you have to rinse forever and ever before it’s out!). I could tell even before drying that my hair was a lot smoother. I dried my hair using a hair dryer brush, and I will say, I was left with soft, voluminous, smooth hair. I didn’t have to hit it with a flat iron to make it shiny and smooth – it looked good with just a nice blow-out. That’s impressive to me. I pay a good chunk-of-change every 6 weeks for hair color at the salon, so I try to preserve my color as best I can. This means I don’t wash my hair every day, so it’s important to me that the products I use don’t make it greasy or full of build-up. This mask is definitely non-greasy and lightweight. I believe it did what it says it would, and repaired and smoothed my hair. I assume it would work even better used in conjunction with its coordinating shampoo and styling products. If your hair is in need of some repair, I think this mask is definitely worth a try. Thanks!

Matrix Instacure Build-A-Bond Instant Revival Liquid Mask. I have damaged frizzy hair and this helped reduce the appearance of the damage. My hair is less frizzy but is not weighed down by product which is important for me. The mask is a very thin liquid but it works well and you don’t need a lot. This mask does contain dimethicone and isopropyl alcohol but it didn’t dry out my hair. I try to stay away from silicone style hair products but if I use them sparingly I don’t have too much of an issue.
