I just bought Men first and thought that hey if the keratin’s in there it’ll be like the Grecian formula it will be gradual and then I can return to my natural color instead of taking shots in the dark on some other brand that would just die and then disappear well I used it for a couple of days and of course I did see some change in my natural hair color of course things looked better after I first used it but then I found out that of course there is something else inside they say there’s no dye but there is and I use a regular shampoo just before I use them in first because I don’t like the limp lifeless boring condition that they leaves my hair in frankly it has conditioner but as a shampoo it sucks.I have noticed that the keratin compound does make a difference in hair color it did so almost out of the box however as somebody else pointed out as soon as you try washing with something other than men first then pretty much everything drops out if you leave the droplets anywhere on a countertop or whatnot you can wipe them up and of course there’s no stainage if you give it sufficient time however there is a stain that means there is a dye and that way it is not fully up to what they claim it to be. For what they are charging I don’t see the real big benefit from what I’m getting and of course expecting you to continually buy more and more means that you keep spending money for more dye. I will try for a bit longer to see if better results over time but the dye issue is disturbing

I purchased this product for the first time because I wasn’t able to find the product I normally use. The first time I used it I placed roughly 1-oz of the product in my wet hair and distributed it evenly. After no more than 30-seconds I could see a variety of dark stains on my skin and shower so I immediately washed it out. After shaking the 5oz bottle for several minutes to hopefully mix up the ingredients and mitigate the stain effects I tried it again using a little less product and a bit more care regarding what it came into contact with. After 1-minute my head looked black so I rinsed it out again. That took care of 90% of my grey hair and I am roughly 50% grey. The stains came out after washing my face and head several times and a thorough bleaching of my shower. It seems that people are experiencing widely varying results with this new version from not working at all to problems similar to mine. I am not sure if this is secondary to poor ingredient standards or if there is perhaps another variable (temperature, settling, poor chemical longevity, etc) causing such a wide range of quality issues, but it would be great if the manufacturer could isolate the issues and remedy the huge differences in product effectiveness. I will continue to use the rest of the bottle I purchased only do so in a more careful manner. This product is either very good or very bad, and the fact that there are many other reviews similar to mine and many others that rave about how great the product is makes be believe something is amiss with quality control.

This is not a miracle product. But it will make your hair darker and healthier looking. This is not permanent hair coloring. It builds up on your hair. It will not make your hair jet black but will make it darker. For best results apply on dry hair 10 minutes before showering. Use a separate conditioner to seal color in place after rinsing. Pat your hair dry and finish drying with a hair dryer. I never had any stains on my skin. I have been using it everyday for a year. P.S.: I never make reviews in exchange for free products.

Leave the Santa Claus look, or embrace going bald, but at all costs, do NOT buy this product. It comes out of the tube looking like dark jelly, with about the same consistency. The instructions say to leave it in for 5 minutes … DON’T DO IT!
In the interest of easing in very gradually, I left it in for 30 seconds … and the skin under by beard now LOOKS GREENISH-BLACK, so even if the beard didn’t darken appropriately, shaving it off is not an option. I washed my face for a really long time with shampoo, and the skin staining got lighter, but it is not gone. Thank god I can work from home for a few days, if needed.
Not only does my face have a dark section underneath the beard, the dye doesn’t work very well on the beard itself — maybe 10 percent of which looks a little darker.
The rest of the tube went rightt in the trash — a lot of money spent to dye my face … which was not the goal.
This stuff is expensive and absolutely horrible.
