I felt compelled to write a review because I’m a licensed cosmetologist and I feel like an absolute idiot for falling for this. It’s like the get-rich-quick scheme of hair trimming! I did some chemical processing on my hair a few months ago and noticed some split ends after everything was said and done, which was expected. I knew I needed a trim, but didn’t want to sacrifice much length and had always wondered about this product so I figured I’d give it a shot. I saw mixed reviews for it at the time, but you know how it is–you see what you want to see and go against your better judgment because you’re excited to try something new. It arrived and I ran it through my hair and WOW did it look better fast! A lot of my split ends were gone, my hair was soft and more manageable and I didn’t lose a ton of my length….I was sold! Until a week later when I noticed that almost every hair on my head suddenly had a split end. I thought it was odd, but figured…..maybe I somehow didn’t notice them and the condition of my hair was worse than I initially realized. So I ran it through my hair again and boom….soft hair, no split ends, fantastic! Until a week later when again…..almost every single hair on my head had a split end. I was baffled! I’ve been colouring and using heat on my hair since high school and have never experienced this kind of damage–and I now use my iron at 100 degrees cooler of a temperature than I did then, with a heat protectant spray. This shouldn’t have been happening….it made no sense! I started searching online with the heading “split ender made my hair worse” and I learned a lot. The blades inside the machine aren’t razor sharp the way shears are, so it doesn’t create a clean cut. It basically chews and rips your ends off instead, causing a fray in the hair fiber which then turns into a split not long after. If you’re looking for a trim without sacrificing much length, this is not the godsend it appears to be. I ended up taking shears to my hair and cutting an inch off just to rid myself of all the split ends before they got worse. I ended up losing more length in the end than I would’ve had I just trimmed it in the first place. I’m so upset with myself for falling for this and I hope that my experience warns the rest of you away from doing the same to your hair. I know it’s not ideal when you’re trying to grow your hair out, but going and getting a good trim from a licensed stylist with real shears is truly the way to go. If you go regularly, the length lost will be so minute you’ll barely notice it and you won’t be filled with regret as you gape in awe at your shredded hair a week after using this like I did. Learn from my mistakes, ladies…..save that beautiful hair of yours and do not order this product!!! You deserve better than chewed up, split, fried ends!

My chemically damaged hair looks much healthier after one use. I hope using this tool will help me to grow the length.

Worked good the first couple times I used it after that just quit working contacted Amazon about the warranty. They advised me to contact the seller and nothing.

I think all the bad reviews of this product are people using it wrong. I took the leap and bought it even though some people on here said it ruined their hair. First you need to read the instructions!!! This is super important! Your hair needs to be clean and STRAIGHT. You should also take extremely small sections, like smaller than you think you need to. I did one section that was too big and that’s when I got tugging and I noticed some of my ends looked chewed. You also don’t need to go that slow when running the tool down the hair. A little slower than if you were brushing g your hair. Once I figured all of this out it was super quick to get through my whole head. I used this in conjunction with a bond repair product called k18 and omg my hair felt amazing after. I will use again in four weeks, I can’t wait to see how good my hair feels then!! I wish I took some before and after photos but I forgot.

The trimmer looks really nice and the instructions are very clear. Unfortunately it doesn’t meet my expectation since it doesn’t help with eliminating split ends.
I followed the instructions, cleaned and dried my hair completely, detangled my hair before, have the arrow facing down when using it. Sadly, it just didn’t do much. Some of my hair was trimmed but the split ends were still there.

i really like the idea of this product but i think that there are a few design flaws. first, once u get to the end of a section of hair it kinda tugs the hairs and i felt a few break from that. another is that there are little shavings of my hair sprinkled all over me and a little bit on my counter (i attached a photo) it’s not that bad but it’s hard to get out of clothes. other than that this thing is a life changer, i have box bleached the under side of my hair and it was so dead and crusty but now it’s just like the rest of my head. overall, i’d give this a 9/10, i really like that i didn’t lose any length at all. i’m not sure how well it would work on curly hair but it worked perfectly on my straight hair. if you’re considering it, read the comments before u commit cuz it’s kinda pricey

J ai acheter se produit pour éliminer mes pointe fourchou et je suis agréablement surpris! Sa n enlève pas toute les pointe fourchu au niveau des pointes mais tres grosse différence dans mes cheveux! Wow je recommande se produit.!!

This product barely trimmed the split ends. I normally have a lot of split ends and after using this product I still do. I sectioned my hair accordingly but it still barely worked. Also it pulled out long strands of hair not just split ends. When the machines is in the bag, the button will turn on by itself.

I am using this product since six months and I noticed literally some changes in the split ends but the main thing which is very much tricky for using this product is using the right and left option which is sometimes very confusing for me
Also There are no settings for the split ends length cut so I noticed my some of the split ends cuts to large some very small so there should be some kind of adjustments four the length cut out the split ends
Product is quite heavy also
I do not like that after three times of use in a month I again need to change the batteries I hope this was the plugged one
And of course the prices are too high
