I am a Baby Boomer who likes long hair. Problem is, now that I’m post-menopausal, my hair is a lot dryer, and a bit thinner.
When I wash my hair, even after using great shampoo and conditioner, my hair looks drab, bushy, and dry.
SO…… I went looking for something that would rescue my hair. And found this amazing tool.
It’s a flat iron, that uses steam, and has a little comb. As you pull it through your hair, the steam makes it look so nice, and the comb helps keep your hair strands separated and smooth.
I was afraid it would burn and fry my already dry hair, but it didn’t. I use it at the lowest setting (300°F), and it’s perfect.
When I was done with my hair the first time, it was like the hands of time were turned back to my younger age when I had healthy shiny hair.!!!!
I can’t say enough good things about this flat iron. I am VERY THANKFUL I found it.
I was afraid I would have to cut a lot of my hair off. Now I can keep it longer, which I prefer.

I have very long, wavy to curly hair with medium thickness.
I am upgrading from the Paul Mitchell Ion straighteners ($100+).
The quality is great and it has more features than I was anticipating. Not only is it a beautifully designed product, it also delivers results as promised. For me it only took one pass to straighten a rather large section. I have not used other steam straighteners before but I feel this one is superior to them all. This straightener has something most of them don’t and that is the 40mL water tank. I never had to stop and refill the tank. I know it doesn’t skimp on the steam either because I almost used the entire amount and it was obvious with the results. My hair has not been this silky or shiny since I attended cosmetology classes where we had access to the salon stuff. This is much healthier than traditional flat irons in my opinion. My hair looks healthier after using it and the style has held after sleeping on it. It is durable too because it fell on the floor and was fine lol. It is returnable and backed by a 2 year warranty so I am not worried. The only bad thing about this product is the instruction manual which has since been updated. Even though the instructions were hard to understand I didn’t get electrocuted and the hair straightener is still in good shape so I would say the product usage is pretty straightforward. It was a lot easier to use than I expected and is surprisingly easy to maintain as well. I’m not used to large/bulky tools, but I adjusted to this very quickly.
I did some research about the origin of this product because I see it available from multiple sellers. Mkboo was the only seller I trusted because they offer a warranty and were the most professional out of everyone else I asked. The customer service is phenomenal and I would not buy this item elsewhere. After purchasing this product I’ve found that I love their brand and I can’t wait for their other products to become available here on Amazon.

I went natural almost 5 years ago after a year of hairdressers messing my hair up causing me to cut off several inches and having a 3 inch spot in the center of my head. I haven’t used heat except for hood dyers since then so I was pretty nervous to use this. I am a 4a/b low porosity if that helps. I only used this on my bangs to start and at 300, like I said I was pretty nervous haha. Honestly blow drying my hair out was more work than using this so I am super pleased.
To start I used a heat protectant, blow dry , combed out and then pulled a small section very taunt and clamped down the iron and slid it down my hair. Make sure to read the instructions, there are a few steps needed before you can start using it. Like it needs 90 seconds after you add water and then 30 seconds to heat up and then 30 seconds of you clamping the iron without it being on your hair to start the steam. Bit of a pain but I’m sure it is important for it to work properly and last.
My ends were a bit challenging, they needed to be cut and wouldn’t straighten in one pass, took two or three well placed passes of the iron. I need to work on that but I think it won’t be an issue with the rest of my hair since the bangs were very thin sections and not blunt cut like my hair. It got my hair silky and straight, not bone straight but it was only 300 degrees. It looked like a blow out but not as fluffy, I might use a higher heat next time. The comb inside stayed in place so I think other people got broken ones, check that yours isn’t an issue.
The real test was would my hair revert, and it did just fine. I am very excited to use this on my whole head as I think this is a safer and healthier way to get straight hair since it is using steam and my hair loves hot water and steam. I just wouldn’t use it very high or often if you are concerned with heat damage.
All in all I recommend this, it’s not as expensive as other steam irons but does just as good of a job as them, maybe better based on the reviews I read and I read A LOT of reviews before buying this.

*EDITED* The ‘$10’ value card you get in the box with the flat iron is a half true statement because i sent in a video review and that I liked it and using it and they only sent me $5 when they send 10.
Much worth the price for how many features it has, it has 5 heat settings and a steamer which is absolutely amazing for your hair, it leaves it so shiny and naturally looking straight and super soft. I’ve never used or owned such an amazing flat iron, if you smell something burnt it’s more likely just the steam building up because the booklet says 7 seconds to close and open it to create the steam. You even get a value card for money back after your purchase! Everything about this is wonderful, very satisfied and highly recommend to any women with thick wavy hair or curls that you’re not happy with 🙂 Your hair stays straight for days after using it once too!
