At age 44, I started experiencing rapid hair loss – mainly in the shower….and it wasn’t growing back the way it had in my 20’s and 30’s. After a year of trying products and researching I found this on-line and it saved me! I took 3 pills together at mealtime once a day, and within 10 days my hair completely stopped falling out – just stopped! In the shower I would have just a small number of hairs come out…it was amazing! I kept taking it and within 3 months I noticed more volume to my hair as well. I’ve been taking this now for 2 years, and here’s what I have found. The directions say to take it every day for at least 3 months, and then only as needed – but anytime I have skipped more than one day of this supplement I notice a big difference and then it takes me almost a week to get back on track again. So I have decided NOT to ever skip taking it. I’m only noticing sparse hair re-growth, but I think this varies person to person, and some people will experience more hair growth than I did.
2 years later I found out about the Fo-Ti supplement that Hair Essentials also sells paired with the capsules I’d been taking. The reviews I read about Fo-Ti sounded amazing…people saying that taking both Fo-Ti and Hair Essentials together was the magic combination. So I ordered them as a pair together and have been taking them both for about 2 months now. I am noticing more of a difference since I’ve added the Fo-Ti…my hair texture feels better, it’s shinier and easier to manage. Other reviews for Fo-Ti say that when taken alone it has helped with hair re-growth and has even turned gray hair dark again. Here’s what I’ll tell you though: the Fo-Ti that Hair Essentials sells is WAY more expensive than other brands you can buy on-line or in the store. Plus, the brand that Hair Essentials sells is in liquid form, so I have to add it to my juice every morning in order to take it, and I had to take it again at night (with food) – and it doesn’t taste great. The other brands of Fo-Ti you can buy on-line or at the store comes in a pill form – much easier for me to take now and no strange taste! And I’ve read (don’t know if it’s true) that the pill form is more effective because it contains more parts of the plant.
So my recommendation is a big YES on Hair Essentials, but also pair it with Fo-Ti, which you can buy on-line for less than $10 for months supply.

Been using this for almost 3 months now. It takes time, but I can actually see new hair around my hairline and my roots look darker and a bit thicker. I’ve also found my hair isn’t falling as much. Ive used other products without any luck, but Ive’ seen a difference in growth with this product. I’m hoping this can regrow and stabilize my hair growth. It’s time for me to order again and I will give an update a few months from now.

I tried all the nutritional supplements that I knew of to stop my hair loss, but they didn’t really help. My doctor said, “Yep, you’re losing your hair, all right!” like it was NOTHING!!! He prescribed some formula for hair loss but I never filled the prescription…I bought “Hair Essentials,” instead. And let me tell you: Within three weeks my hair loss was beginning to lesson; whereas I always had to clear the drain THREE TIMES when in the shower, now it was twice, and then it was once, and then, hardly needing to at all.
I used to have my hair EVERYWHERE…under all the furniture, along all the baseboards, even in my drawers; I’m telling you, it was BAD, so bad that I got sunburned on the top of my head, and I was having to “arrange” my hair on top and spray it down with hairspray just so it wouldn’t be obvious that I was going bald.
Within five months of taking the “Hair Essentials” faithfully…along with good B Vitamins and extra Biotin and Saw Palmetto to help neutralize the DHT, my hair was BACK!!! It was full and healthy, and I could even SWING it, I had so much hair…
I tell you all this because I GOT COCKY and stopped using the “Hair Essentials,” thinking that now that I had my hair back, I could keep it by continuing with the B Vitamins, Saw Palmetto, and extra Biotin. And though these supplements do help, within six months, I had to admit to myself that my hair was beginning to come out again, and then, over the next couple months, the hair loss accelerated to the point where I was back to where I started…so I went back on the “Hair Essentials,” and it took about 4 months, this time, to get back to not losing all my hair every day, but STUPID ME, I stopped taking it AGAIN, and I went through the same thing AGAIN…
I have been on this product off and on about five to six times, each time, getting over-confident with my success, thinking I didn’t need to spend the money…
So here I am, ordering “Hair Essentials” for the seventh time, nearly bald, and kicking myself!!!
This product really does work…but I have discovered it works best if you take one capsule three times a day rather than three all at once. Also, I recommend cutting down on sugar as much as possible, as this contributes to hair loss. Further, have a healthy LIVER by not eating garbage, not eating too much, and having a good, raw vegetable salad each day. (Ever notice how normal size ladies who don’t eat garbage have thicker hair?? Their livers are in better condition! So consider these things; they all work together, and enjoy your new head of hair!!!)

I gave it only 4 stars because I’m still in the process of desperately praying that this works. It’s my second bottle. My first bottle was bought from the hair essentials site which charges shipping. SO I looked at amazon and got the same thing with free shipping. I must admit that because of the high price, I’ve only been taking 2 capsules per day instead of 3 but I shall soon begin to take 3 per day and hope for the best. I’m certainly NOT losing MORE hair taking this product and the loss has lessened, so that’s a good sign. Overall I think it’s a very good and efficient product given enough time to work, and by taking the suggested daily amount. My case also may be a bit different from most as I’m an older woman who has Graves disease and take Zoloft. Those 2 things contribute to hair loss in itself. In spite of it all, I shall stick with “hair essentials” for the long term and feel that I will end up with my desired results of fuller and thicker hair. I should add that I’ve tried other hair promoting products that didn’t work at all.

I take three capsules a day to facilitate hair growth. I do see baby hairs growing around my face and less shedding of hair overall.. I am satisfied with the product.
