I’ve always had kp bumps on the backs of my arms. I used a salicylic acid scrub (St Ives acne scrub) on my face for years so thought I’d try it on my arms as well. Every time I’d wash my face in the shower, I’d also use the scrub on my arms. This was my ritual for years but it was not strong enough to have much noticeable effect on the kp.
Came across this product and thought I would give it a try. After the first use, my arms were softer and smoother! However, my mistake was using my bare hands to rub it in. For days, my palms were raw and burning.
To be fair, I have a history of eczema on my hands (as well as other places) so the sensation of irritation, sensitivity, and pain was familiar. I just thought I was having another flair up. Only after using this scrub 3 times over the course of 2 weeks did I realize it was this product that was causing my hands to hurt. If it had been eczema, those episodes tend to last for months and don’t go away after only a couple days, plus I’ve been taking medication for it.
That said, I still like the results on my arms enough that I won’t stop using this scrub. But I now take the precaution to wear disposable gloves before rubbing it into my arms. Not always the most convenient when I’m in the shower, but it beats having painful hands.
So for those with very sensitive or eczema-prone skin, I would say be a little cautious with this product. It packs a punch with its combination of chemical and mechanical exfoliants. While effective for what it claims to do, I found it can have unintended effects on thinner skin.

My arms were extremely dry with open wounds from scratching constantly but between this scrub & the Amlactin lotion that I’ve been using for the past 2 days the dry itchy skin has softened and stopped iching I’ll update any changes

Compared to the other KP scrubs, this one is way higher quality, and it works well. It’s cool to see my upper arms looking like their younger version.

This formula is honestly the magic bullet for KP and strawberry skin. This product specifically is a lower price point than any other on the market for this. I like that it isn’t fragranced, and I’m thrilled that my strawberry legs are cleared up at least a few levels within 4 uses. Will continue to repurchase as long as this irish skin struggles!

Product after product after product after product…. Gosh I’m sick of dealing with these bumps! I wish I could find something that worked. It has a nice grit to it but as far as helping my KP it doesn’t ☹️ the only thing that ever works are chemical peels but they burn and take long to peel. Guess I’ll have to burn my skin off for the rest of my life smh.
