Ever since Covid, I’ve become sort of hyper allergic. The worst thing is that I also get Cheilitis whenever I have allergy symptoms: there would be some small bumps on my lips, more often on the lip line that are super itchy and leave my lips dry and full of dead skins. I was pretty frustrated because I couldn’t even use lipsticks or lip gloss. I started using Flexitol it helps calm the itchiness but because it contains menthol it makes my lips kinda irritated and painful. I bumped into this product and decided to give it a try. I got it last week when I also had angular Cheilitis. The first night I put a considerable amount and it seemed normal but it was absorbed super fast. It has a light citrusy smell to it and it’s very light on the lips. I used it during the day as well and dead skins came off fast and left my lips very smooth and soft. About three days (I use it day and night multiple times) my angular cheilitis is gone. It helps with itchiness but can’t make it go away completely.

As a sufferer of Sjogrens Syndrome, dry lips, along with everything else, can be a serious problem and painful. I spent a lot of time several years ago trying to find a lip balm that would work overnight (when lips dried out the most). I happened upon Neosporin Lip Health about 3 years ago and haven’t looked back.

It says on the packaging that it repairs dry lips in 3 nights. I’m sure if you suffer from the occasional dry lips that that’s true. I, on the other hand, have to use it daily or risk very painful lips the next day. So I will be reviewing it from that perspective; someone that lives with seriously dry/painful lips on a daily basis. For this indication, this product is amazing.

First of all it’s a very light white cream based product. It wasn’t until this review that I actually smelled it because I never noticed any odor from it before. It actually has a very faint “pleasant” odor? Don’t really know how to describe it but to be honest, its practically non-existent. Flavor wise it has no real taste other than what you would expect from a cream. Kinda bland, pasty taste to be honest. Nothing offensive but not really what you would like to taste. It being on your lips, its almost impossible to not taste it occasionally but not a deal breaker in any way. If you’re tasting it you’re probably using too much.

Ok, on to the moisturizing properties. This is what its made for. My routine is to put a small amount (and small is all you need) on my finger to apply it liberally on my lips before bed. The small amount comes down to how much you are comfortable with. Too little and it won’t last the night. Too much and you risk tasting and eating it. You will have to find your happy medium. A light but generous amount is all that is needed. One small container usually lasts me about 1 month. Sometimes a little longer.

In the last six months I believe my lips have gotten worse so I have been using just a tiny bit after my morning shower that seems to help through most of the day. Barely any on my finger to coat my lips is all that is needed. After that, its Vaniply during the day as needed.

All in all, this product is the best on the market for those suffering from chronic dry lips. If you suffer from sleep apnea as well, (me included) and find you breath through your mouth too much drying out your lips, this will help too. I would recommend using some sort of cloth hair band to wrap around your head and chin to keep your mouth closed. I tried the face mask ones that they sell for sleep apnea but found them to be too constricting to wear. A small pillow under your chin to keep your mouth closed is another option as well to help keep your mouth closed at night and lips moisturized.

To finish, I have had to purchase this product through Amazon because it’s hard to find in most pharmacies. They either don’t carry or are always out. Buying 3 packs is actually more cost effective long term than buying one at a time at your local store. This product has allowed me to live a less painful life (chronic dry lips) and for that I am so glad I found Neosporin Lip Health long ago. Dry, painful lips is something most people don’t have to live with, but if you do, you won’t go wrong with this product.

Due to recent surgery my lips were sore, swollen and very dry. After 2 days of use, my lips were in AAA condition! Highly recommend this product!

I’ve never left a review for anything I’ve ever bought off Amazon. The reason I’m writing a review for this is because I’ve been through hell and back trying to cure my angular cheilitis. Seen dermatologist countless times, been prescribed anti-fungal ointment, anti yeast ointment. All sorts of creams and ointments that never worked. The problem with my situation is once a crack appeared in the corner of my mouth, if I didn’t address it right away my whole corner of my mouth would be SUPER dry, scaling, and red. I found out trying so many different creams and medicated ointments would end up just irritating my skin and it would stay chapped and red which was the biggest problem. The cracks would heal but since it was still chapped, after a meal or opening my mouth wide the cracks would just re appear. Aquaphor would heal the cracks in the corner of my mouth but it got to a point that it would dry up so quick and my lips would just be cracking and drying up again. And it never helped with the redness around my mouth which was most embarrassing. I found that the anti fungal cream clotrimazole helped a little but didn’t quite fix the problem. That’s where I found out less is more. Instead of buying all these crazy creams/ointments with a lot of ingredients I bought this product because people linked it to their angular cheilitis. Sure enough I could see a difference the first night using it. So from now on I use aquaphor ointment if I just have a crack on the side of my mouth, and if it’s gets worse I use this product and it clears up within 2 days. Just need to be consistent. The aquaphor chapstick is good also for normal cases but this product is by far the best when the corners of your mouth are really messed up.

This lip balm was a lifesaver this past winter in Chicago. My lips got so bad from the dry winter air that they were cracked and purple and nothing helped to heal them in the dry winter air, until I discovered this stuff. The first use was immediate relief. After about a week of using, I started to see my lips finally healing. I keep a jar of this in hand at all times now.

I’ve been using this item for a few years. Moisturizes my lips without any flavor/taste. Goes on clear. Highly recommend.

It’s just white petroleum jelly. If your lips are already dry, it doesn’t add any moisture.
