Has just enough texture to help exfoliate but still feels gentle. I wouldn’t say it does any moisturizing. It is a good cleaning product for balanced skin.

Been using for 20 years. Yes, that long. Very refreshing and cuts through summer oily skin. I breakout if I run out and try to just use bodywash for a week until I get more Neutrgena.
You do need to he careful with the fabrics it comes in contact with. It will bleach fabrics.
Great as a mask or daily wash.
My only complaint is the constantly rising price.
I hated spending $6 per tube on it in 2004, but I really hate spending over $9 per tube even with Amazon Subscribe & Save.

I used to rely on salicylic acid for my mild acne, but Neutrogena Clear Pore Cleanser/Mask with 3.5% benzoyl peroxide has been a game-changer. After several months of consistent use, it cleared stubborn papules on my forehead and improved my blackheads. I experienced initial purging, but that subsided with time. The minty herbal scent, which I was unsure about initially, quickly grew on me and became an enjoyable aspect of the product. Sensitive skin users should be cautious as it’s a strong exfoliant and may cause irritation if combined with other harsh actives. Overall, I’m delighted with the product’s effectiveness and highly recommend it.

We like this specific product from neutrogena. It will permanently stain your towels and shirts, as with any benzoil peroxide product, so use old towels and old tshirts. Or use in the shower, so it all washes away thoroughly before using your towel. White towels are fine, it only lightens fabrics. Anyway, it works, but I did notice that it used to be grittier (which I liked) in the past. (I’ve used this for about 15 years and my daughter loves it too). So I’m not sure about the texture change. Now it’s smooth. Btw this was recommended to me by my sister in law who’s a dermatologist, to help with breakouts. It really does work very well.
