I’m going start out by saying…I wash my hair about 2-3 times a week. I also swap between a clarifying shampoo and a more hydrating/nourishing shampoo depending on how my hair feels. When I first washed my hair with this shampoo, my hair felt pretty nice. My scalp didn’t get oily very quickly which was a plus!
I think after about 4-5 washes I noticed my hair just wasn’t feeling the same like it did after that first wash. I had to clarify my hair a couple of times just to get my hair to liven up again. It was feeling heavy and congested, and I think it had to do with this shampoo specifically. I think that it may just not be a good product my hair specifically. Could potentially be good for someone who colors their hair a lot or just has dryer hair in general.

I am so glad I found this! The price is right, doesn’t strip your hair, and actually gets other hair product out. My hair and scalp feel really nice and clean. It’s the perfect reset but is gentle enough to use daily. The big bottle and price are the added bonus!

Nexxus Clean and Pure Clarifying shampoo did exactly what the description said it would do. It removed the calcium from my hair which was needed to return the shine and condition of my hair to healthy. The lime in the local water had dulled and dried out my hair.
Nexxus Clean shampoo removed the dulling minerals from my hair, without sulfates and with a light pleasant smell. It had a very reasonable price for the quantity. It is the best shampoo I have found in years and a great value. However, I broke out in eczema on my scalp for the first time after using this shampoo for several weeks. I am so said that I can’t tolerate the ingredients. My dermatologist said it was due to the fragrance.

I’ve used Nexxus for a couple of years now and I truly can’t find anything that compares. It’s a clarifying shampoo, but I can use it every wash and haven’t had anything bad happen. The only thing I miss about when I was new to this product was the feeling of my scalp feeling extreeemely clean and my hair feeling very lightweight. Don’t get me wrong, it absolutely still cleans and purifies, but my scalp is used to being clean all of the time now. The bottle itself is quite big so it lasts months–I did the subscribe and save every 3 months and had to cancel twice in a row because I still had enough left… but I do live alone, if you’re a family you’ll go through it faster. I have thick, shoulder length hair and one and a half pumps are enough for me. The scent is orange citrus which is the one bad thing I’d say, but it still won’t stop it from being my holy grail.
