I really love this shampoo and conditioner in one. Just a small amount lathers into my hair luxuriously and cleanses it very well. I think that this bottle of shampoo will last me a good long while. Consequently, even though it is pricier than my current shampoo I feel that it is a good value. It also conditions, so it is like having two products in one. I am amazed at how much fuller my fine thin hair looks and feels after using it for just a few days. I am looking forward to seeing if this product helps my hair to become thicker with continued use. As for now, I highly recommend it just for the way it cleanses and conditions my hair. It does not make my hair flat like some other shampoo/conditioner products that I have tried.

I don’t know if it’s supposed to have a lemony scent to it, but this shampoo/conditioner 2-in-1 smells pleasantly lemony to me. It lathered up well and rinsed out cleanly. My hair didn’t feel stripped afterward and felt lightly conditioned, but not greasy. The cap to this is interesting; instead of your usual flip-top cap, you pull it up and then the shampoo comes out once you have pulled up the cap. It threw me since it’s a little different than what I’m used to. I feel like my scalp is cleaner and that this shampoo works like a clarifying shampoo but with conditioning elements so that I don’t feel too squeaky clean (which can cause oily overdrive and flakiness).

The Nutrafol Mens Active Cleanse comes in a 8.1 fl oz bottle. It is a combination of both shampoo and conditioner. The product is targeting men with thinning hair. It is supposed to unclog pores, dissolve excess oil and hydrates flaky skin. My husband has very oily scalp so he is glad that he actually gets a hair product that works. He has very short hair so the conditioning part doesn’t really matter for him. He does have thinning hair so hopefully the shampoo+conditioner combo will help with that issue. It take at least two weeks to see the results so we will wait and see.

The 2-in-1 shampoo conditioner combo has come a long way since Pert Plus (anyone else remember that), and this option by Nutrafol is quite up there. It’s cleansing, clarifying, detangling, and hydrating. The scalp feels refreshed, and hair is clean without being so squeeky dry.
Nutrafol has these “clinical study” but there is no indication of it being double bind, if there’s a placebo control, or what. However, the stated result is: 92% of men felt their scalp was immediately more nourished, and 96% of men saw a reduction in dryness and flakiness after 2 weeks.
