  1. Amazon Customer

I use a lot of more inexpensive skin care products, and I had forgotten how nice something that is truly a nice product is to use. The bottle is easy to use, and the cap snaps on snugly. The pump is smooth and controlled. The product itself feels nice and not overly drying (as can be a problem with retinol), and it smells really nice – honestly, I had forgotten how much I enjoyed this small detail with higher-quality products.
The instructions on the bottle are also completely clear, and it states very clearly to use an SPF 30, especially if you’re using the product in the morning. To me, all these things give me a lot of confidence in the product being mindfully made.

I use retinol serums regularly. I have trouble with prescription based retinols because they are too strong for me, so I use serums instead. This Reverse Activator Retinol Cream is much stronger than the serums. The reason I know this is because I started peeling within a week of daily use. This is both good and bad. It tells me that the retinol is effective, but now I have peeling skin and slight sensitivity when I put on lotion. I know this is temporary, but it’s a little tricky to deal with. This is a common occurrence for me when I use stronger retinols regardless of brands, but I thought my skin was used to it since I was using a weaker retinol serum before this cream (nope, I was wrong). I should have eased into it (apply every other day for a week or two first before daily use). The cream itself has a very nice texture and feels like a lightweight moisturizer. Overall, this cream is very effective in skin turnover, but definitely ease into it.

  3. Puppydog Smiles

Wow! This is am expensive face cream and although I regularly use high-end skincare products, I was skeptical. It came in a box that is pretty typical of skincare products, but I was surprised to find the bottle is plastic. Usually, with products this pricey, I find they come in glass containers. It doesn’t matter to me, but I feel it should be mentioned. Regardless of the container, the product is WONDERFUL! I noticed a difference after just 3 applications (1 week’s use). My skin looks and feels smoother, and I look awake, even after 3 night shifts in a row. I’m 42 and this cream is working great for me. I would say it’s a medium weight – not too thin or oily, and not overly thick like some night creams. It moisturizes well so I wash my face and then apply it with no other products. It has a light scent, but it dissipates quickly and isn’t unpleasant.

I always trust that Ohui products will be well-made and effective. This retinol cream while on the pricey side definitely yields results fairly quickly and leaves your with healthier looking and feeling skin. The pump dispenser is easy to use and control while the lightly (pleasantly) scented cream has a very nice texture that applies easily to your skin. Results are noticeable within a week or two of using and fine lines fill in nicely with your skin looking more plump and hydrated.
    Another win for Ohui!

  5. Closer Look

Having used a variety of retinol and retinol-related products over time, I wondered how much better this $90 product could be. Lately I have been using adapalene in a plastic tube from the drug store and it works pretty well, but this Korean cream works just as well, perhaps better, is more pleasant to apply, and has a pleasant, mild scent. After having used adapalene nightly, I saw significantly more exfoliation almost immediately when I switched to this product. I expected redness and irritation with that switch, but that didn’t happen. I have been using this cream now for a couple of weeks, three nights a week. My plan is to increase use over the next few weeks. I prefer it to simple and basic adapalene, for sure, and to other retinol products I have used in the past—mostly because it is highly moisturizing and feels luxurious.
It comes in an attractive double-encased plastic container with a pump. A little goes a long way. While I consider this a relatively expensive way to get retinol into my regime, this product does work quickly and is also an excellent, gentle moisturizer. If you don’t mind the price, consider this high-quality product.

  6. Honu Hugger

I have been using this retinol wrinkle cream for almost a week and although I would not expect to see any spectacular results in less than two weeks, I can clearly see a change in my fine lines. I like when skincare products are clinically tested and the fact that this product has been clinically tested and the findings were impressive, speaks for itself. I also take note when I see “proprietary blend.” That speaks volumes as to ingredients and pride that the manufacturer puts into a product. I probably would not have sought out this retinol treatment simply because of the cost factor but I am extremely pleased that I happened upon it. I am also a firm believer that you get what you pay for. This one will most likely be a repurchase.

  7. Sean&Amanda

There is so much good in the O HUI Reverse Activator Retinol Fine Wrinkle Cream. It is reputable, and I love Korean skincare. The ingredients are great and the retinol will transform skin over time. I was surprised that it was a plastic bottle with the price point being near one-hundred. It doesn’t have a scent and a little goes a long way. My skin looks healthier and is stronger. I have fairly sensitive fair skin and it did not cause any peeling – once up to about three times a week.

  8. Rebekah Brown

Great for moisture. Smells nice. Does not leave film on your face. I feel like if I continue to use it, I will really see results.
