I saw reviews calling this comb dusty – it is not dust! In product description, it tells us that there may be natural buildup of wood crystal when the comb arrives. This washes off easily and does not damage the comb. I was fascinated by the crystals. Once I used just a drop of dishsoap and water on the comb, it was good to go. I use this to distribute oils and scalp massage. I love it!!!! Sturdy, smooth, easy, and nice looking.

This comb is very nice, well-made but is not fine toothed. So, I ordered a different one Hoping it is fine. I can still use the wider toothed comb for combing out tangles after I wash my hair but it is too far apart for stlying thin, fine hair. And I don’t detect any Sandalwood scent at all.

This is a solid wooden comb that can certainly manage all types of hair from thin to very thick! It is well designed and I find the handle easy to grip, without slipping. Unlike some plastic combs, this comb’s rounded wooden teeth do not irritate my sensitive scalp.

I am a guy and my hair is naturally curly, I would say my curls are a 3B curl type and I keep them at a short length only slightly in front of my forehead. This comb works great with my hair in the shower, I am careful to only use it when my curls are wet, otherwise, it is the afro city for me.
The comb is a little smaller than I thought but incredibly sturdy. To be fair, my hands are big and even controllers for video games can be somewhat small for me. But the comb is solid, it does not feel flimsy.
You can use this comb to style your hair a bit outside the shower, but if it is curly like mine be sure to only use a/this comb when it is still wet/damp. I was born with my curls and no comb or brush will work dry on curly hair, I guarantee it. So don’t use this comb on your hair while it is dry then get upset when it does not work. It’s a curls thing.
As for the smell I read about from other reviewers, my comb did not come with a weird smell. It simply smelled like raw sandalwood but it was not strong, and also do not expect it to smell like a Bath & Body Works candle because it does not.
As for color, the comb came with a light brown color to it, but not as light as the photo in the listing. It had a somewhat dark shade to it. I assume it is the green that the description mentioned but it is not easy to see as of yet.
When I used the comb in my hair, I felt an immediate difference in comparison to my shower brush. It was the shower brush you can get from Marshall’s, looks exactly like the Crave glide brushes but with colorful patterns (flamingos.) When I used that brush (plastic) I could feel a pulling. It was never harsh or painful, but I could feel the pull even in the shower and it left my hair with flyaways like static. When I used this comb (in the shower) I had to make sure it was actually in contact with my hair because I felt no pulling at all. The comb just glided right through my hair and after styling it had very little flyaways. I assume with time and extended use, the difference will become more apparant. Overall, a great purchase.

I purchased this as a part of my hair care routine. it didn’t break my hair since it has a good space between threads. I’ve heard that a wooden comb is good for the scalp. It a strong and has a pleasant sandal scent. I think it’s from sandal wood.

I bought this comb to keep in my purse for quick detangling while I’m on the go. It’s perfect! It’s got wide teeth, so I can detangle without brushing out my curls too much. I love how sturdy the comb is as well! No flex or bend, and the teeth are strong as well so there’s no worry that it’ll snap while combing my hair (a la Princess Diaries, lol). The craftsmanship is also really nice! It’s solid wood and smells like it’s been oiled with lemon oil so it’s smooth and shiny. Definitely worth what I paid (~$17 via Prime) and then some.

I looked at a lot of combs of similar wood and style. These are constructed with the wood and wood grain in mind, and because of that are far less likely to break or lose teeth, as the strongest direction of the grain is placed where the most stress would be — the grain of the base is in a different direction to that of the teeth.
The comb is lovely and works well. My only suggestion would be that if you’re going use on wet hair or leave in a damp place, you should oil it periodically to keep the finish nice and the wood protected.

I’ve always used a brush, rather than a comb, but was looking for a gentler way to detangle my hair when wet. This did the trick. The wood is very sturdy, smooth, and has an herbal smell that fades with time but is generally pleasant. I’ve noticed fewer split ends and less breakage since using and have pretty much totally replaced my brush with it.

I am pleased with the comb. I did not like the color because I prefer black combs, but it gets the job done. It is very sturdy and would purchase it again.
