The best part of this package is the light-up wand with the various extraction tools. I’ve only used it once, but the smaller hook tool seems to do the best job at getting out smaller tonsil stones. It does take a bit of practice, so don’t be too aggressive with it to begin with.
I love the little case to keep everything contained, but it’s clear just like the tools and a bit difficult to figure out where to place them afterwards.
Overall a good product!

I had no idea such a tool existed and I am incredibly thankful I came across it on Amazon! I have been using this for about 4 days now and it works great! I have had that ‘something stuck in your throat’ feeling for about 6 months now. No matter how much I coughed, cleared my throat or how much water I drank I could NOT get rid of the feeling. I figured it was just post nasal drop from allergies or something and I was doomed. I had my 6 month dental cleaning and as my dentist was walking out of the room after checking my teeth and x-rays, he said ‘oh by the way, you have tonsil stones’. I had NEVER heard of these before. I could not get them out myself because when I got my hand in my mouth to reach my tonsils my hand blocked my view! So as the dentist suggested I went to an ENT. The problem is that the ENT can only remove the stones that he sees at that time. So after two ENT visits at $50 a pop I was determined to figure out how to handle this issue at home. The ENT worked great but then a couple of hours later more stones would come down, I guess once the stones that were in the way were removed, and I did not want to have to pay a $50 co-pay and take time off from work to go to the doctor all the time. I bought this kit after reading the reviews and watching some videos. It works GREAT! I have only had to use the little scooper piece. That works great for me and as I work from home, I can get up and go ‘stone fishing’ every few hours or as I feel I need it. The light at the end of the tool is good but I really like a bigger light so I use a light my boyfriend has that I can hold in my left hand while I have the scoop tool in my right hand. It’s been working great! I usually do not write reviews but I have been so happy with this kit that I decided I HAD to write one as I know I depend on reviews when comparing purchases. If you have tonsil stones and do not feel like having to go to the doctor to get them removed all the time, then this tool is for you! It’s VERY easy to use and works great! I highly recommend it and am telling all my friends about it too! The other good thing about this kit is when you read the digital manual they give you a few tips on how to deal with your gag reflex. I have not had any trouble with my gag reflex with this little scooper tool though. Good luck everyone!

Having bad breath is horrible, but having tonsil stones is social death. It’s isolating. I couldn’t go a few minutes after brushing before I would get that awful stink in the back of my throat. Mucus built up so much it was hard to talk. People would back away or cover their nose when I talked. For months I had been dealing with it, it would get better then get worst, then unbearable. I really couldn’t take it anymore, tried to book a dentist appointment but every time I would get a quote for what it would cost on top of my regular co-pay cleaning, I would end up putting it off. This kit was just $10, and it saved my time and money.
It wasn’t easy; even with instructions there’s still room for error. So for anyone else going through what I went through here’s what I did.
– warm salt water (Walgreens has a mouthwash)
– syringe and light wand from the kit
– hard cotton swabs (durable ones are the best)
– flashlight and magnifying mirror
I kept warm salt water at the ready to gargle in between tonsil digging. Trust me. It will make it A THOUSAND TIMES easier. They literally come out with a squeeze after you use WARM salt water. The syringe was too bulky for me to use, it just tickled and made me gag. But it does flush the hard to reach stones that hide in the crevices.
I used a q-tip, the hard ones that come in a small travel pack, and they helped push things along. Finally, the light wand that comes in the kit. Wow. It scooped up stones quick and easy—found ones hiding deep in the tonsil but kept them from traveling further down my throat. I used it to basically squeeze them out of hiding. You want to back in with a cotton swab and gently swab each tonsil THEN smell it. Trust me it’s gross, but if it still stinks there’s still stones to dig. My left tonsil stopped stinking by day 2, and the right persisted until the other night.
BE PATIENT. This kit is amazing for the price, the quality of the wand is like a soft silicone, gentle but firm enough to use liberally. Didn’t like how it would pop apart if I pressed too hard, but it snapped back and worked like a charm. The battery life of the wand was great too, I haven’t had to replace the battery yet and it’s been a few days of use. Again, this kit will help you get to the finish line of tonsil stone recovery. But you will still need saltwater, cotton swabs and plenty of patience. Best of luck on your road to regaining confidence!!

Mi opinión del producto es buena. Sobretodo la jeringuilla curva es muy práctica. Viendo por donde sale el agua me ha ayudado a conocer mejor mis amígdalas e identificar sus huecos y canales. Me ha sorprendido ya que es diferente de lo que yo pensaba. No son piedras incrustadas, sino que se forman en huequitos y canales que puedes limpiar fácilmente haciéndoles circular agua a través. Después de las primeras limpiezas de tonsiolitos más grandes, ahora lo uso regularmente para prevenir su formación (o por lo menos que se hagan grandes) y mantener las amígdalas siempre limpias. Lo he integrado como parte de mi higiene bucal. Yo uso la linterna del móvil para iluminar.
El rascador de lengua es robusto y de buena calidad y muy fácil de limpiar. También lo uso.

Möchte man Mandelsteine selbständig entfernen ist dieses Set gut geeignet. Natürlich ist es deswegen weder angenehm noch besonders leicht. Mit der Öse die mit Licht versehen ist kommt man gut an die Stellen hin und bekommt die Steine tatsächlich weg, ohne sich zu verletzen. Die Spritze hat bei mir nicht so gut funktioniert, allerdings ist es auch sehr schwer an die entsprechenden Stellen hinzukommen und die Hand ruhig zu halten. Zudem ist dort kein Licht angebracht. Der Zungenschaber zu guter Letzt scheint hochwertig zu sein, aus Edelstahl schätze ich. Hatte mal einen aus Kupfer (vermutlich antibakteriell) der war dünner und ist iwann angelaufen. Dieser wirkt dicker und stabiler. Für den Preis absolut in Ordnung, da nehme ich es auch in Kauf das mir eigentlich nur die Öse direkt geholfen hat mit den Mandelsteinen.

Was helpful to an extent. Provided a few extra options when it came to removing my tonsil stones. The built in light is a nice bonus. Though the pieces did feel a bit cheap in the hand. Not sure I would buy again based on my experience. The plastic loop pieces kept popping out of the handle when I was trying to use it.
