I have very curly hair with some spirals/ringlets when I keep it longer. It’s not fine or thick, but somewhere in between. The problem I’ve had with curl creams and gels is that they either don’t provide enough definition or they provide too much hold and weigh down my curls. Frizz is a daily issue, but is especially challenging in the summer when the humidity is regularly at 80/90%.
I’ve tried both cheap and expensive products, and nothing really hit all the marks until I found this gel. It gives just the right amount of definition while still keeping my hair feeling soft. Yes, it does form a cast/crunch, but, at least for my hair, it easily scrunches away into soft, curly locks once it’s dry. With proper curl care, I can get a pretty good three-day hold with this stuff before I have to wet / wash my hair and reapply. I may need a different product when winter hits, but such is life with curls.

After yearsssss of trying different products this gel is a must have! Thanks to my hair salon I get my trims at. This gel Keeps my hair frizz free , flake free, soft and I have defined curls through the day. Looks good wether you air dry or blow dry . 3rd time buying this and I use it both in my 3b/3c hair as well as my daughters 2b hair.

I’m new to using gel in my hair as I have been using a curl cream for years. Well after realizing my hair actually hates curl cream and contemplating shaving my head, I looked to the ole University of YouTube. After doing hours if not days worth of research as wavy/curly hair is like a delicate flower, I came across Ouidad. I also looked on Think Dirty and they have great clean reviews. Well… needless to say after the first use and following Ouidad instructions, my curl cream went straight to the recycle bin. I’m sure lots knew wavy/curly hair loves gel, but I was naive to this information. I’ve tried a few different Well known products and my hair seems to like this one best. Tested out the anti frizz factor at the car wash one day and it held up! For the record I have a mix of 2C/3A fine frizzy hair that loves to have a halo of frizz. There is still frizz but no where near what it used to be. My hair looks and feels extremely healthy compared to before with the curl cream that destroyed my hair. I’ll be purchasing the big bottle next time and Amazon is the cheapest I’ve found it so far. It doesn’t weigh down my hair, not much of a curl cast if your a curl cast fan (I am so I was mildly disappointed at this) but once it’s dry and you scrunch the bit of crunch out you have beautiful curlies. The end.

I have 2c hair, it’s on the thinner side, and has a lot of body, but I also have very oily skin so trying to keep my curls hydrated, not frizzy, and also not greasy is tricky. This works pretty well for hold, I’m not sold on its ability to keep fizz down though, I have to use an additional product for that. I also like that it’s a nice flexible hold and not too crunchy, or heavy. So this does well for curls without weighing them down but I’d recommend and additional moisture lock product with this, for the top layer of the hair where the friz really shows.

I have wavy hair and once I uncrunch the cast it falls flat. Guessing I need more hold. Does leave hair soft & shiny. I guess I’ll be looking for something else again.
