I saw the new Palmer’s whipped coco cream on social media. I’ve used Palmer’s coco butter that comes in the tub for decades. My sister and I both started using it when we were pregnant. Our mother swore by it herself.
Fast forward to the new whipped coco butter cream and I’m absolutely hooked. I’ve only been using it for a week and just ordered my back up today. In the past I bought the bum bum cream a few times but it doesn’t hold a candle to this.
It’s very hydrating and absorbs into my skin within a couple minutes. After about 3 days I noticed a remarkable improvement. The coco butter scent is faint and wears off shortly after. I wear fruity or earthy type fragrances . This doesn’t clash with those perfume notes. I apply it twice a day and it doesn’t cling to my clothes. I can get dressed right after I rub it on. I won’t be without Palmer’s whipped coco cream. Just please don’t discontinue.

So I have to preface this by saying that I love SDJ’s various products, especially the Bum Bum cream and Beija Flor (Ceriosa 68). I like supplementing my Bum Bum cream with good dupes to keep my husband off of my back.
Besides the packaging, Palmer’s Brazilian Coco Cream is a great option that I’ll be using regularly. The cream is thicker than SDJ, but that’s not a bad thing in my opinion. It also doesn’t smell like SDJ, it has its own summery fragrance with some similar notes, which I like. It has kept my skin hydrated and sweet-smelling when I’ve used it. I can’t attest to its claims about helping with stretch marks or cellulite, as I have only used it for a few days and my primary concern is keeping my skin hydrated, soft and happy.
Great quality, great economic option. However, if you’re sensitive to perfumes or don’t care for coconut/vanilla or “tropical” scents, this may not be for you.
