I was looking for a small shaver to take on a business trip. I had previously bought a cheap but good-looking one from other manufacturer, but it broke after six months. So I bought a Panasonic one that I had been interested in for a while, and it was a great choice. This product is not only compact, but also has a great cutting edge. I was surprised that it gave me a closer shave than the regular-sized one I use at home (which is not that cheap). I definitely recommend it.

For a hundred bucks I expected a better shave. This razor only does so-so. Takes many passes to shave even a light beard, and doesn’t pick up the flat hairs despite the claims on the product description. For this performance I might as well buy a cheap knockoff, it wouldn’t shave any worse.
I like the size, build, and feel of the razor … if it only shaved well, it’d be a great value. It’s not.

I have tried many travel shaver, but this is the best! It shaves very close without irritation. I normally use a Braun Series 9, but it is too heavy to carry when traveling. The Panasonic Compact Shaver is the perfect size and it charges with a USB-C cable. It is easy to clean and feels solid. I highly recommend this shaver, especially if you want a compact shaver for traveling.

I bought this because it’s advertised as a compact shaver for both men and women, but as a woman this has got to be the most useless electric shaver I’ve ever purchased. I tried it on my leg first where the hairs were maybe a half a centimeter long, and even if I did 10 passes on the same spot from multiple directions (against the grain, with the grain, across, diagonally, in circles) the shaver just wouldn’t shave most of it.
So I thought “okay the listing didn’t specify what kind of hair this could or couldn’t shave, so maybe I misunderstood and maybe this is for facial hair only”, and I tried it on both my peach fuzz and also the thicker hair near my side burns. The issue was the exact same. Even after multiple passes, most of the hair remained.
I’m sure based on the other reviews from the guys, this is an amazing product for shaving beard stubble, but for longer body hair or softer facial hair this thing is abysmal. I am returning this and going back to my old Panasonic close curves razor.

On the first shave this was very impressive. Ordered this to replace a razor that had developed a bad odor that just wouldn’t go away even when cleaning it with rubbing alcohol. I’d let my whiskers grow to about half an inch and wasn’t looking forward to shaving. Even the best razors I’ve used pull long whiskers and I was ready for that. But, my anticipation was for NAUGHT! NOT A SINGLE WHISKER WAS PULLED!
It did take a ridiculous amount of passes to get all the whiskers, but if that’s the price of a pain free shave I’ll take it. The razor is surprisingly loud for something so small and impossible to have a conversation when it’s on, so of course I plan on turning it on whenever someone starts to annoy me. All in all I’m fairly happy with this purchase so far.
