I’m very disappointed with this product. My hair is the same after two washes. It doesn’t help with the frizz at all not even thinking of having your hair straight. Would not recommend it to anyone

This was recommended by a friend with frizzy thick hair.
I followed the instructions in order to reduce frizz and keep the wave. 30 min processed and combed every 5 min min, blow dried on high heat (profesh dryer) and straightened on 380 degrees 3 passes, 4-5 passes around my face.
Week later I had an appointment and the stylist ask me if I did keratin because the hair felt silkier and it was easier to dry and style.
Next day I traveled to Boston (75% humidity) and my hair remained as styled!! Never happened before.
For comparison : picture no 1 taken on a hot humid fall day during trip in Texas (gets very very humid there!!) the picture no 2 after treatment (hair remained the same during Boston trip).
Will do it again. I don’t need to wear my hair up anymore when it gets humid and feel self conscious.

    Update: 2 weeks post treatment.
Results are eh. My hair is still wacky but a bit more in control. I used this same product years ago and needed a mask and open ventilation. This has no smell at all which I thought was odd. Maybe it was not a real product but no way to know. Too late to return too. Old formula or original formula definitely smoothed my thick frizzy wonky wavy but but straight but not curly hair!

Original review: I’ve used Coppola many times in the past and was actually shocked this did NOT have a strong fume. I was set up outside as per usual and there was no fume even close up? Maybe they changed the formula. Anyway I went back to Coppola after trying another brand on amazon which has great reviews but I never really liked it. My hair felt crunchy after.
So the end result is the Coppola worked exactly as Usual – my hair is soft and fluffy. I have very coarse unruly not curly not straight frizzy hair… I processed for about 45 mins. Other than that i followed the instructions.

And yes- the end of my tube blew a hole too! It’s not a joke. I ordered mine so long ago and finally got around to doing it now so I can’t return it. Still works and I sealed it up withe Gorilla tape. I’ll use the rest next treatment. Still less expensive than a salon.
I don’t need the bowl brush etc but is a nice touch for people who don’t have those supplies on hand. Gloves would be an added bonus.

Again no fumes. Weird but it seems to work just like the fume-infused version (?)

I have no clue why I didn’t do my keratin treatments myself sooner. Best of the best! I would pay so much money, I don’t even have a lot of hair. I’m thankful to support small businesses that can help us do this on our own. I’ve always used this brand for my keratin treatments, now, I can do this on my own. Thank you!

I have super short hair with longer hair in front, course & very thick. The waiting list for a hair appointment was crazy long! I was told a Keratin treatment without the hair cut would be over $200 dollars even with my short hair!!! That’s ridiculous, just too much for my pocket-seriously! Anyway, I waited 7 finally decided to get the kit.It came on time & packaged well.
Before I did this at all I did a lot of research to find the best affordable “Formaldehyde Free” Keratin Treatment & chose Coppola. At first I didn’t think it would work because when I put it on it didn’t feel like anything. I mean, I was used to the regular OTC hair straightening products so I guess I didn’t know what to expect because it wasn’t a heavy cream. The best thing about this product is it doesn’t smell at all ,hooray! It’s really easy to use by yourself too! However, if you have long hair hair it might be a good idea to have a friend help you.
Since my sides & back are clipped close I just brushed the treatment all over those areas. I actually used my fingers to apply it on some of the really short spots. Nothing burned or itched. I had divided my bangs & top areas of hair with clips and worked section by section. If your hair is really frizzy like mine I left it on longer than recommended. I thought my hair might fall out or something, but actually I was reading online that it won’t hurt your hair if you leave it on for a longer time. (*However, always go by the instructions-I’m just telling you what I did.) If your scalp is really dry or damaged the cream may not feel too moist after you apply it because badly damaged or super dry hair absorbs everything fast-it doesn’t mean anything as far as results.
Anyway, when I blew out my hair & ironed it, my frizz was gone! My hair was soft & straight not super straight,it still had body! Clean up is easy no fuss. The next day my hair and scalp felt healthier less dry & super clean! It’s worth the price not just because it worked, because it saved me from having to go to the salon, spending extra money I dont have right now & more importantly made me feel really good!

I’ve been using this keratin treatment for over 10 years and I used to love it. This new formula is difficult to comb through my naturally curly hair.

  7. skeptical

This product worked okay. It did reduce frizz, but didn’t make it straight I still have curls but they are less frizzy and I think if I blew it dry it would be easier to straighten it. However my hair now stinks. I have washed it multiple times and there’s still this awful smell coming from my hair. It didn’t stink during the application but wow after I went to wash it the first time it’s just a disgusting smell. I really hope it fades. Right now it’s still really stinky. I won’t use this again.
