  1. Luz Ruiz

Really light coverage, better for light/medium cool tones

  2. Cordelia

This is my favorite Peter Thomas Roth product. I use the sunscreen with and without foundation. It doesn’t provide full coverage, but enough to give your skin a certain smoothness. I love it and will purchase again.

  3. Evgeniya Krasnikova

I really like this sunscreen! I’m very fair and was worried the “universal” tint would be too dark, but it is so sheer that it matches my skin well once it’s rubbed in. Doesn’t provide a ton of coverage, just a slight tint to neutralize my redness, which is what I was looking for. Doesn’t go on sticky, feels hydrating and more like a moisturizer than a physical sunscreen.

  4. Onceupon

Not too heavy on the skin, lovely sheen without being greasy, non irritating.

  5. Erin

I sure cannot figure out how this gets such good reviews. I have pretty normal skin, just a little redness.
As soon as I put it on, It had that white ghost-y look like many sunscreens do. I figured maybe it would go away, it did not. It is very thin and a little greasy, takes forever to absorb (and doesn’t completely) and certainly offers no coverage at all. If you want to look like Casper the Ghost in your pics, go for it.
    Immediately returned.

  6. Delores Carter

This never balls or flakes on me. I highly recommend this! I am a fair to medium tone – so the tint is perfect for me. However I do not know how it looks if you have a darker complexion. For day trips (beach, walking around the city, hot concert days) when I know I will be sweating I just wear this and a bit of concealer and it gives me enough coverage. I hate the feeling of a heavy face and of course sweating it all off ! Some girls ask me if I’m even wearing any foundation! The tint looks so natural. Absolutely love this tint and I ALWAYS buy 2-3 extra of these when they have a sale.

  7. Maria Sunderhaus

I love it! It has just the right amount of tint for me and it goes on my skin very smoothly!

  8. MC

You only need small amounts a little goes a long way. It deflects light and gives you a satin finish. If your skin is dry it is perfect. If you tend to be oily I use Erno laszlo shake it first. It looks flawless together!!

PTR sunscreen has a nice fair but not pale tone with a very slight yellow undertone. It is also slightly radiant but not dewy. It doesn’t highlight my wrinkles as much as some other zinc oxide tinted sunscreens do, but it doesn’t hide them either like more matte, silicone based sunscreens do (Elta MD, Sunbum and MD Solar Science). I really like the smooth look, light glow and the tone of this make-up. I apply it with a wet sponge and it doesn’t look heavy, chalky or waxy at all. However I don’t apply the quarter teaspoon recommended, but I don’t usually stay in the sun for long. I wear it daily to work and it usually wears well unless I touch my face, which is what happened on the day one of the photos was taken.
Contras: I have sensitive skin and I don’t know what genius came up with the idea to add vitamin C to sunscreens such as this one. On most days I’m okay but once in a while I look in the mirror after several hours of wear and I see a red spot on my face (allergic reaction) that shows through the make-up. I have to bring a concealer to work now. It also makes my eyes watery after I apply it under my eyes but that goes away after 10 minutes or so. Despite these things, I continue wearing it almost every day, because I love it. It looks better in person than on the photos and I often don’t want to take it off when I get home because, again, I love how it makes my skin look.
