As a retired dental hygienist, I stress at home to my husband the importance of brushing. He knows that is important, but it seems he doesn’t realize that each segment needs attention. Each area needs a dedicated amount of time to get the plaque. I got this toothbrush specifically for the reminder it offers to tell when to switch to the next area. It will vibrate to help you remember how long to brush in each segment. It’s battery is long lasting which is great since he travels with it. He feels more confident of his brushing habits now.

I just love this Sonicare. No frills, no LEDs, just one button. I dropped my expensive, current model Sonicare and it stopped working right. I never liked or needed all the fancy features and this unit is perfect. Simple, effective and reasonably priced. What’s not to love. Quality is over the top with it. The knockoffs can’t compete.

I bought this as a replacement for a sonicare toothbrush that wouldn’t hold a charge. As I unboxed it I noticed there was a cord but no wall charger. The toothbrush handle is much smaller and lighter than the one I used previously which made me question if I bought a child’s size but the description says it is for adults. I guess the lighter weight will be nice when traveling. It cleaned my teeth well which is why I bought it so I will keep it and use the old charger.

I purchased this as a replacement for my very old (and failed) Sonicare.

The old model used 110v AC to power the base unit. The new model uses a USB-A plug. There are mixed benefits to this change. The adantage is a benefit for travelers. USB-A is becoming ubitquitous in hotels, and you are probably bringing a USB power supply anyway. Thus, you don’t have to worry about different voltages and plugs for travel outside North America.
The disadvantage is that I had to add a USB wall-wart to my bathroom AC plug. (In the future I might add a USB enabled wall outlet.)
The tooth-cleaning function is just like the old one. It gets the job done and works much better than a manual tooth brush. I like the nice massage my gums get.
