First of all, I’d like to say that I’ve been looking for this type of shampoo for years at the grocery or retail stores. Lately, It daunted me and it brought me back to the late 80s and early 90s when I first tried it. I love nostalgic things especially if it’s a shampoo that I thought didn’t exist anymore. Love the smell. Would highly recommend this shampoo for everyone who isn’t trying to break the bank and honestly, it’s one of the cheapest shampoos that money can buy. So, give it try you won’t regret it…….

I’ve been having scalp issues and bought this because my hair and scalp was at its best back in the day when this was popular. I’m glad I did. My scalp and hair are so clean. I’ve noticed it’s less oily, and leaves my hair soft.

I have another shampoo I like, but was looking for a 2nd shampoo to alternate with it, every other time I wash my hair. The Prell is working out as just that. I use it along with the Prell conditioner. Conditioners seem to make my hair need washing more often, so I use just a little bit of it each time because my hair needs washing more often than I’d like. This combination works well for me and in my case is a great one to alternate with my other shampoo. The other shampoo is great, but seems to contain a lot of conditioning ingredients in it, and I find that the Prell gets my hair very clean without weighing it down and also doesn’t dry it out at the same time. As of now, I plan to continue using it!

I bought this shampoo to remove chlorine from hair. It cleans hair without stripping. My Mom would only use Prell and now I know why. There really is no comparison. If you are a swimmer this is a must. If you just want clean hair, this is fantastic.

The brand name and color evoke nostalgia, and even though I can’t remember the exact smell of this shampoo from years ago, the floral scent seems familiar. It lathers well and rinses clean easily. On a few occasions it has worked as a body wash at the gym when I forgot to pack bar soap.

Ok, so it has sulfates. It’s inexpensive, smells nice, gets my hair clean. Not for light-to platinum blondes or white-greys though. Sulfates make that hair brassy. Not a moisturizer, not a great ph level but that lifting of the hair cuticle a bit helps my baby fine hair look fuller. Bottle lasts a few months.

This was a really good deal they were priced right so I bought three bottles. This is a excellent shampoo that gets your hair very clean. You do not use very much just a small amount, gently work it in, and rinse it out of your hair. It will not build up in your hair if you use it sparingly rinsing thoroughly. Your hair will be shiny, soft, and smelling clean with that nice smell of this shampoo. This is a real classic shampoo that hasn’t changed and has been around forever. It has a really rich thick lather that no other shampoo has. Strong enough to remove stains from clothing just pre treat with this shampoo and wash in the washing machine it doesn’t damage fibers. You can hand wash your delicate clothing using a sparing amount and it rinses out.
Fun fact if you look up the old commercials on YouTube for Prell Shampoo one of the ladies who starred in a James Bond film Maude Adams is in the commercial titled – Come to isle of green – Liquid Prell Shampoo – (1973)
