This is a really great product if you need it! While this won’t be for everyone, this really is a great bathtub stand that is built well and has a simple, thoughtful design. First, it looks as if it’s handmade, though I doubt it is, the edges are rounded nicely and feels like it’s all epoxying well to keep it water proof. There is the typical slot to hold your phone, tablet, book, etc and then adjustable “legs” to keep it snug in the tub. All of that makes for a fantastic package, with its only minor drawback being its size. If you have the space, this will be perfect to hold a lot of items. However, if the is close to wall or is just not very wide, this is tough to fit, especially in an apartment building. But if you have the space, I cannot recommend this enough. The price is pretty high but it’s very well put together and should last for years.

This bathtub tray/table is an extremely sturdy piece of furniture. I dug through my toolbox and got out a measuring tape. It is exactly 9 inches by 3 feet of beautiful acacia wood that is 1.25 inches thick. Then, I got on my digital scales both with it and without it. It weighs 8.4 pounds. So, it’s no lightweight. IF it fits on your tub, you could use it as a bench.
It’s got one beveled edge where you can rest your wrists while holding a book, typing on a laptop, or writing…whatever people write these days. And if you use it for a tub bench, the bevel will be easier on the back of your knees.
There’s also a slot that is deep enough and wide enough to accomodate a phone or a small tablet PC. I discovered it holds my S23, even in its MagSafe case. It holds up my 8″ Samsung Galaxy Tab S2, but not my 10.5″ Tab S5e in either the portrait or landscape orientation. The slot’s long enough, but in order to be wide enough to get a phone in there, it’s too wide for the much thinner, larger tablet to get balanced. (Although, I experimented and discovered a piece of cloth, a Kleenex, or a couple of those foam cozys meant to make candles stand upright can be used to narrow the slot and hold the larger tablet in place.)
The bottom has ‘adjustable’ feet that can be slotted against the inside edges or hung over the outside edges of the tub so the tray doesn’t slip off one side or the other. Their adjustability allows you to create a narrower or wider spacing between them, depending on the width your tub requires. These feet don’t just slide one way or another, though. They must be unscrewed and moved to pre-drilled holes with threaded inserts where you screw them back down. I actually like that. Once you get it adjusted to your satisfaction, those legs aren’t going to move or slide around.
One problem is, it only works if you have a free-standing tub or one with a wide enough lip on either side. If yours is inserted into an alcove and flush against the wall, especially those units in which the tub and shower surround are all of a piece, there is usually little to no lipfor it to be laid over on the wall side of the tub. I knew when I ordered it I wouldn’t be able to use it in my guest bathroom. The wall side of that shower surround has no lip at all, so there’s nothing to support that side of the tray/table.
In the master bathroom, where I intended to use it, there’s a garden tub (or jetted tub, if you prefer). I have plenty of ‘lip room’ on both sides. Unfortunately, the edge of the tub slopes downward into the tub all the way around, which turned out to be a problem for me. It makes the table tray fractions of an inch too short to fit over the tub. I must have measured wrong or maybe I didn’t compensate enough for that sloping edge. Whatever. I miscalculated. It MIGHT work at one end or the other, but I don’t want to risk having it slide along those sloped edges to the center of the tub and drop everything into the water. So, sadly, I cannot use it in either bathroom.
I WOULD say ‘I’m soooo disappointed,’ except I’m not one to admit defeat that easily. Especially when the problem is one of my own making.
I have a VERY old, very beaten up lap desk of very thin wood that should have been replaced years ago. Now, I have a replacement. I’ve discovered this ‘bathtub tray/table’ fits across the armchair where I usually sit in the living room AND across the one I use in the sunroom. It’s just deep enough to hold my laptop. Or I can use the slot to hold my tablet if I want to watch a video. Since the arms of the chair(s) are holding it up, instead of my lap, it’s actually more comfortable than the old lap desk and MUCH sturdier.
It is very nearly perfect for my purpose. There’s only one thing that would make it better as a lap desk. If the bevel stretched about three inches more on each side, my wrist would be more comfortable when I use the mouse. But since this wasn’t its original purpose, I can’t really complain about that, can I?
So, no, I’m not using it for it’s intended purpose. But, despite that, I’m extremely happy with it. I think it’ll get more use now than it would have as a tub table. I highly recommend it. Just be sure to measure your bathtub well before you buy, so it fits. That or get one to use as a lap desk.

Measure your tub first before ordering if your tub isn’t just a standard size. This is a heavy-duty wood bath tray that far exceeded my expectations. Unlike typical flimsy bathroom trays, this one stands out with its robust construction. Made from solid wood, it promises durability and longevity.
One of the first things I noticed was its weight. It’s heavier than expected, which is a testament to its quality. Despite its weight, it fits nicely across the bathtub, although there are gaps on either side. So, I would suggest measuring your tub. To prevent it from slipping when moving back and forth on larger tubs. But if you’re like me and just really love the piece I added some rubber to the bottom of mine. This small modification has made a significant difference, ensuring the tray stays in place even when sliding it back and forth.
Another feature that adds to its appeal is the adjustable legs. They allow you to customize the tray to better fit your needs, enhancing its usability. Whether you’re enjoying a book, sipping on a beverage, or simply relaxing, this tray ensures everything you need is within reach.
