I used it for the first time a few days after it was delivered and the black coating melted off with the l top. There is no temp control, so no way to manage/prevent this.

This Pro Fusion Tool by The Hair Shop – Keratin Glue Melting Connector Machine for U-Tip Hair Extensions, Matte Black Ergonomic Patented Design – Professional Salon Glue Heat Tool for Keratip Extensions is marked on the box that it should only be used by certified extension artists, which would explain the lack of instructions included in the box. I’m still learning about how to install different types of extensions. I’ve mostly had tape-in extensions that I’ve taken care of with The Hair Shop products. Because these products impressed me so much, I felt I could trust this company with extension installation tools as well. I can confirm that this pro fusion tool heats up quickly and is extremely light. If you’ve ever installed extensions before, you know how time-consuming it can be. As a result, having a lightweight, high-quality tool that is easy to hold is essential. I can confirm that The Hair Shop’s pro fusion tool falls into this category.

The ties to the cord were undone, bag was open, and the tips had residue on it. I was on a short leash for time so I just went ahead and used it and took a bunch of time cleaning it. Works, kinda flimsy where the tips don’t match when closed. Did the job though.
