I have extreme 4c hair (thus my title) so I try different brands to see what works best for my hair/edges. This product is nice, has a firm hold in the container, but once it’s on my hair, it lays for a minute and it then it’s back up, shiny .. it does not leave my hair white, but my edge area is shiny. I will use it from time to time, but this will not be my go to for laying my hair.

I’ve tried many brands of edge, loc, braid, twist gel. I have sensitive skin & this is the only gel that doesn’t irritate me or cause thick white residue. I purchased a large & small container. I don’t like how the jar is made with a thick bottom to appear as if you have more & I reuse the small jar for travels, but this stuff is awesome & it even has castor oil in it.

I like the smell. I washed my hair and used this to lay it before it dried. I tied it down and slept and when I woke it was flat as a pancake lol. And hardened. I cut my hair recently along the sides and getting it into a standard fro was tough. I’ll see once I sweat in it as well. So far, on a rest day. It’s good.

Great hold, no flaking or itching, love it. Lil costly… BUT worth it! We use it in our dred locks and in my child’s protective style (braids).
