I have tried so many products for dry nightly dry mouth and nothing worked until I tried samples of Basic Bites my dentist gave me. These worked!! I ordered a bag and I’m able to sleep without waking up in the middle of the night to spray my mouth. Great product.

I sometimes need another one if I wake up in the middle of the night with a dry mouth. Some medications simply stop all normal saliva and mucus flow in the mouth over night, and this is helpful. A dry mouth causese tooth decay. My dentist recommended this. I like the chocolate flavor best.

I give these to my kids as a reward after brushing and flossing well each night. Takes the struggle out of the nighttime oral hygiene routine. We all like the chocolate taste, and they seem really effective. Combined with sleep taping, my mouth has never looked or felt better in the morning. I’m tempted to replace this product with an inexpensive bottle of L-arginine, but for toothbrushing compliance with my kids, these chocolatey chews are worth the money.

Some reviewers compared the chocolate to Tootsie Rolls – that is probably the closest comparison, but they are sweeter in my opinion and a little softer. Less sweet would be better, but overall they are pretty good and I prefer them to the caramel (though those are ok too). The best thing is, they provide a boost to oral health! I like something sweet right before going to bed and this beats something with sugar after brushing!

As others mentioned, it does taste like a tootsie roll. Not too sweet and has good flavour! Im glad I can eat something sweet between meals without feeling fear or tooth decay. I got these a week ago due to dry mouth and generally being prone to tooth decay. Morning breath/bad taste and that weird dry/sticky feeling is a lot less for sure.
I cant tell you if it helped me prevent decay yet, but mentally it does knowing im putting something helpful in my mouth. Im sure its helping either way, as I dont think these do any harm. Ingredients seem to be harmless. My house is particularly cold and dry and night too. So I use an additional dry mouth tab from another brand to help out. But on its own is fine too! Going to buy the caramel flavor.
Do be cautious. I know arginine can cause herpes/cold sores to flare up. I am prone to that but it doesnt seem like it causes it yet. I will update in potentially a month and next dental visit!
1 year update! I eat them often – cant say they are the sole reason my dentist is happy but they definitely DONT cause cavities lol.

Not waxy, and no weird aftertaste. Not too soft, not too hard. I need a night time treat and these are extremely low calorie, low fat and NO SUGAR. Ordering another bag of the chocolate now, and I’m going to try the caramel!

Not only are these helpful for tooth health because of the xylitol, they are tasty enough to satisfy my sweet tooth. They are pricey though.
