As someone who is transitioning into a more holistic, natural lifestyle; this product is absolutely amazing.
First of all, the soap has a fresh smell with no harsh fragrances that would irritate sensitive skin, which makes it multi purposeful. I use it on my hands, face, body, lady bits, and even my hair (i have locs and it makes them so soft)
    – It lasts very long (I recommend you cut the soap smaller for it to last even longer)
    – It lathers a lot (especially when used with a loofah or African net sponge)
I’ve purchased this soap multiple times and will continue to do so every time i run out, it’s amazing.

Notice my skin getting clearer very fast, doesn’t smell very good and burns a bit, best way to sooth it is by icing your face after.

It arrives at time but not in complete weight as it was only 400 grams so I don’t think I will buy it again from this brand otherwise I tried African black soap from (our earth secret ) and it was amazing it makes your skin glow and very clean and it is suitable for sensitive skin

I wrote this review below for another “brand” which is excellent like this one. The advantage of getting this is the price slash when getting 2-3 pounds (which lasts me 4 months of daily use). You just can’t beat that quality or price. Everything that applies to the other “brand” applies to this as well. Superb Quality and my favorite. If you know you like this soap (as you should) and want to get a huge chunk for the future months – this is the one to throw your money at. Amazing!

“I’ve been using Black soap from Ghana for about a year now – I love it and it’s the only thing I use/need. I’ve even gotten rid of shampoo because this works just as well without the *whatever-they-put-in-there-that-probably-causes-cancer*. I work in a restaurant so I always smell like a kitchen upon getting home…so I need a soap that works! This is it. However, when one searches on lovely Amazon, one is bombarded with many different “brands” and options – most boasting that they’re the “#1 Quality” or something similar. After trying 4 of these brands, ranging from most expensive to this bar (Cheapest right now 2018) – I can say with conviction that this is the brand that will have my return business from here on out. They all lather the same, smell the same, look similar, and even taste (oops!) the same – there are only 2 differences that I’ve noticed. 1. Price, and 2. Consistency or hardness. Some may prefer a softer soap bar but, since one isn’t supposed to use the bar directly anyway, the harder the bar – the longer it will last. It’s harder to cut into pieces (If that’s your thing) but this bar last 2x as long and doesn’t flake/crumble in the washcloth while getting a vigorous lather worked up – Nor does it ‘melt’ in the shower from excess humidity etc. Thus requiring one’s wife or gf to lose her mind and make one clean the tub daily. : )

Plus, it’s got the best review of all the ‘brands’ – That ‘Overly Organic’ low star review is what made me wish to try this particular bar! Why? Because I want a genuine bar made in West Africa by real people with real history, not some bar made in a cosmetic factory (How would we know?) pawning off as ‘authentic’ because it’s the ‘in-thing’ at the moment. You find glass, a screw, or a fingernail, that’s telling me right there that is the real deal straight from Ghana! I love it! Can’t recommend it enough.”

Let me start this off by stating the cons. So the cons of the product would be how big the product is. Now it’s not necessarily the size of the product it’s where you will place or keep the product after opening the soap. Now I had a bag perfect for the size that I kept my previous soaps in, however just some insight if you’re looking into purchasing. Make sure you have something to keep this in before purchasing. Moving onto the pros of this product. Let me start off by saying I’m vegan and strive for all natural products. I care for every single thing I put in and on my body. It’s hard to find truly “all natural” products. Most companies and products label their items as all natural, however you turn to the back and it has so many unnatural ingredients . So that being said this product has amazing ingredients that worked perfectly for me. For 10$ this was my best purchase this year! You get a huge amount that will last you way longer than any bottled skin care. This product has made my skin feel amazing within 2 days of use. I have oily skin and it takes all the oils off after use and I wake up with oil still on my face. Now I see this as a good thing being it took all the dirt and everything out and my skins restoring oil after. I love to have oily skin in the morning but not at night. My skin feels best when done like that. Oily skin is known to not cause as many wrinkles as you age and I’m not trying to rid myself of oil completely. I would like to replenish oils naturally as we would for a moisturizer. So for that my skin is phenomenal, products as a whole gets a 5 star!

Love the way my skin feels after use. Just wish it had a little bit of fragrance. But love and recommend soap.

  7. Madeline

I like the way this soap lathers. It very soapy and it leaves your skin OIL FREE.lol… Great for hot days but Women, Be careful about using this on your Vagina..its kinda strong and can mess up your PH and irritate your Private

  8. Nadine Roberts

    I love the soap

I got a tub of shea butter to add since this looked so dark but it wasn’t necessary. I used at night & in the morning & 1st time I used it, my kid said, “Your hair smells so good!” (I think it was the shea/earthy scent since this is unscented) Leaves your skin feeling clean & I can tell it is healing my face & ingrown razor bumps.
Things to know: Yes, it is a miracle healer but you have to adjust usage to your skin type – once a day or every other day. You will need a moisturizer.
After my kids were born, my skin was so dry & sensitive that I couldn’t use anything off the shelves except mane & tail – that I would find in the PET SECTION! African black soap is the 1st thing that gave me hope that I could have normal skin again & this soap is legit. I have tried 3 other brands – Nubian triple milled made my skin itch instantly. Alaffia liquid clogged my pores. Shea Radiance pure unscented was the best but at 8.00 a bar, only available @ Wholefoods & only lasted 1 week for 2 people using – a little pricey for our family. Hopefully 4th time will be the charm.
If you are looking at this block – don’t worry – I tried it & give it 2 thumbs up & sent the link 2 anyone interested.
