If I could rate this product a -0 I would!! I bought this after reading the label and seeing that it was a temporary haircolor spray that would wash out with shampoo, and I expected it to be just that, but it was not! Immediately upon application as the directions, instruct, my hair was hard, and you could not brush through it, similar to hairspray. I was OK with this because my goal was just to see how my hair would look with this tint in it, because I have a hair appointment coming up in a few weeks.
I left the product on for a couple hours, and proceeded to take a shower to wash the color out. Immediately, I noticed that I could not wash this product off of my hair. It was repelling water and was totally stuck. I used a regular regular hair shampoo, put on a thick layer of conditioner and let my hair sit, used another round of clarifying shampoo, and another long round of conditioner to sit… I still couldn’t brush through my hair because the hairspray texture was still keeping my hair, strands together, and the color did not wash out !!!
I decided to give my hair rest for a day because I had already washed it numerous times. When my hair dried, it was all clumpy and had product residue, and the color was still visible.
The next day I proceeded to vigorously wash my hair with Dawn dish soap for about 10 to 15 minutes in the shower. I had to vigorously brush my hair with a large tooth comb and a fine tooth comb just to free all of my hair strands from sticking together. Then I proceeded to also wash with a clarifying shampoo, and a deep conditioning mask to finish it off.
My hair felt good in the shower, and I expected to look in the mirror and see that all the product was gone, but instead, I could still see a red hue in my hair. This product temporarily dyed my hair… this is NOT a wash out product. And now I’m extremely embarrassed to go to my hair appointment in a few weeks because I’m going to have to ask my hairstylist to strip this crappy temporary color off of my natural hair color before she attempts to add the correct color to my hair. Just really disappointing… I had completely natural hair.
This is literally the worst product ever!!!!!!!

Great cover up when you need a quick touch up before you see your barber. You have to get use to the spray, its not the same as the powder. The powder offer more texture while the spray lends more to accuracy. Most people are switching from that to this, and a little hairspray before helps extends the spray even more. I would definitely recommend.

First can worked for only a few seconds – full can with no way to spray. The other one is ok – spits a little, but sprays. I tried to request replacement through Amazon and was given a phone number for KISS and told I had to deal with the company directly. Called KISS and they said they don’t even carry the product to give a replacement and here’s a customer service number to call Amazon – basically unheard of anymore, so I took the number and tried thinking this would be great, right? Not so much. The man was very nice and said that he was emailing the company who distributed the product to me and they have to help me or they get a bad rating. Copies me on the email to Sundance Beauty who responds with a link and the link very simply takes me to the Amazon return process that doesn’t qualify under the AtoZ guarantee, no other reason given, and says I have to reach out to KISS. Officially come full circle now. I’ll try that Amazon phone number again and see how it goes, but right now I have one can that doesn’t work, one that spits, and thin, gross hair – btw, this is no substitute for the discontinued Toppik, just in case you were wondering like me.

This temporary root color is great. I find it to be easier than having to apply rinse color weekly on my new growth of braided hairstyle. The only con for me is if I scratch my scalp the color is on my nail, so I have to be mindful of that.
